Leorio POV

I walked into a completely silent house, the atmosphere was still. There was no food in the kitchen, the house was spotless though, but if felt wrong.

I didn't want to make any noise just in case Kurapika was asleep somewhere, which is what I'm assuming. I looked around to see if I could spot him but no sign that he had been there all day, except for the clean house and Christmas decorations he must have put up while I was at work. The tree had no star on top of it though, which was weird.

I sighed and quietly set my suitcase down beside the door and went into the kitchen, no Kurapika. But there was a note:

If I'm not home it's because I went Christmas shopping! (3:45pm)
-Kurapika❤️

It was way past three so I doubt that helps. I went into the bedroom to yet again see no Kurapika. I decided to take a shower and change into sweatpants and a t-shirt to be more comfortable since I had a long day at work. Afterwards I decided to look for Kurapika, he wasn't in the laundry room, one the balcony, in the guest room, the bathroom in the hall, or Killua and Gon's room, I was starting to get worried.

I sat down on the couch and picked up my phone, nothing from Kurapika. I leaned back and ran my hand through my hair, "Where is he?"

I stood up and paced around the room. I looked at the coffee table to see Oreo on it, I looked at him, "Have you seen Kurapika you little gatito?" He meowed then jumped off the table and ran towards the Christmas tree.

I groaned, "Why would he be there?" I walked over to the tree and kneeled down beside it, "See? Noth-"

I looked underneath the tree and my heart melted, there was Kurapika curled up in a ball holding the star, he had his mouth open and he looked adorable. He looked extremely tired but adorable, "How can you fit under there sunshine?" It was a rhetorical question because Kurapika was asleep.

I picked him up and held him to my chest. His hair fell onto his face as his head fell against my shoulder.

I brought him to the bedroom and set him down on the bed and cupped Kurapika's face, he was so cute. Kurapika's eyes fluttered open, "Leorio?" I smiled, "Hey baby." He rubbed his eyes and yawned, "What time is it?" I looked at the clock behind me, "It's around ten." He snuggled into his pillow, "Mkay. Do you think you can put the star on the tree? I can't reach it."

I nodded, "Of course. Get some rest you look tired." He yawned and let go of the star, "Take it." I grabbed the star and kissed his forehead he waved me away, "No, star, go now."

I went into the living room and put the star up before returning to the bedroom to see Kurapika curled up into a ball holding a pillow fast asleep.

I love him so much.
