Christmas

Kurapika POV

"Kurapika! Kurapika! Kurapika! Leorio! Leorio! Leorio! Wake up!"

Gon and Alluka jumped on the end of the bed. Alluka got in her knees and lightly punched my leg, "Big brother's friend! Please wake up, it's Christmas!"

I yawned, "Leorio, wake up. The kids want to open their gifts."

Leorio groaned, "We aren't open gifts right away. I have something special planned for your first Christmas." He kissed my forehead and sat up, "You three get out. We gotta get dressed."

"Gon don't- okay." I called at him.

Leorio took us all to a Christmas themed drive through, everything was made of Christmas lights. Well, he took us here last. We first when to an amusement park then to dinner. The lights were beautiful, it was pretty impressive, even to Leorio.

"Big brother look!" Alluka pointed to a giant snowman, "It's so pretty! Kurapika look! Gon look! Mr. Leorio look!" I looked, "It is pretty isn't it." Leorio smiled and continued to drive, "Look at that one Alluka."

Alluka gasped, "Wow!"

Leorio chuckled, "Okay after this we're going home. It's already dark outside." I looked up at him, "And open presents?"

He glanced at me, "Duh."

Just a few minutes later we started to drive home. Gon leaned forward, "I wonder what Santa got me?"

I nodded, "Me too."

I looked ahead as our apartment came into view, I smiled, I was excited. But my smile faded as he passed the building, "Leorio, you just passed the out the building."

He looked out the window, "Oh really? What a shame." He then took a turn down a different street.

I heard the kids whisper and giggle. Something was happening.

"Leorio?" I looked up at him smiling and raised an eyebrow. He looked at me, "I have a surprise for you. So close your eyes."

"Okay." I laughed.

I closed my eyes. The kids were still talking in the back when the car stopped. I heard the car door open and close. My car door opened and Leorio grabbed my hand, "Stand up Sunshine."

"Okay?" I questioned.

I stood up and stumbled a bit. Leorio grabbed my shoulder to steady me. He grabbed my other hands and started to walk backwards.

I stumbled again and Leorio grabbed me, "Just follow me and my voice."

I followed Leorio until he stopped walking, "Okay. You can open your eyes now."

I opened my eyes and gasped, "Leorio."

"Okay, so I know it's not much, but I promise in the future that I'll be able afford something bigger-" I hugged him, "I love it! You bought us a house! We have a house! And I'm standing in its living room!"

"Actually, I talked to Mito and we made an arrangement. The kids can stay with us every two weeks."

I looked up at him, "Really?"

He nodded and smiled, "Yeah!" I giggled, "Thank you!"

He kissed my forehead and pulled back, "Now open some presents." Gon ran to the tree in the corner and grabbed a present, "Come on guys!"

The kids were all very happy with their gifts. Gon and Killua liked their gaming consoles and Alluka loved anything she unwrapped. But in all, they loved their gifts a lot.

Gon's favorite gift was a stuffed fox-bear, Killua's favorite was the Nintendo Switch, and Alluka's favorite was an outfit that I sewed for her.

I yawned, "Okay guys, let's go to bed-"

Leorio stopped me, "Hold on. I have one last gift for you Kurapika." I raised an eyebrow, "Okay?" Gon and Alluka giggled and Killua rolled his eyes.

"Here." Leorio handed me a smallish box, it was neatly wrapped and a bow on top. I took the lid off, "There's just a piece of paper."

"Read it."

" 'Look up' Leorio that doesn't- oh my god." I dropped the box and gasped, "Leorio."

Leorio sighed, "I didn't prepare for this because I just wanted to do it as soon as I could. I don't have a speech planned at all. All I have is the question. But, I'm so sure about this. So, Kurapika, even though I don't have a speech, will you marry me?"

I nodded and began to cry, "Yes! Oh my god yes! Yes!"

Leorio gave a sigh of relief, "Okay, thank god because I thought you would say-" I bent down to his height and pulled his face into a kiss. I heard Killua gag and the other two clap.

I pulled away from him still crying, "I love you so much."

He laughed, "I love you too Sunshine."
