Leorio POV

"Alright team." My boss walked into our office, "We need one of you guys to be the face of the hospital due to the fact you're the best team here. Preferably not Hannah because she's only a medical student or Leorio because you're a drug addict, alcoholic, and you know."

I leaned back in my seat, "I'm sorry, 'and you know' what?"

"Exactly...that." She sighed, "You over sexualize yourself, you're too..."

"Handsome? Hot? Sexy? You name it, I'm a list of adjectives." I winked at her, "Oh, I see what you mean now."

"Yeah."

I nodded slowly, "Okay so it's between McDowell and Johnson."

I looked at the two men, "So, who wants it?"

Hannah cleared her throat, "I still think that Leorio should-"

"Hannah we discussed why he shouldn't be the face of the hospital. I'm sure no one will actually find out but we can't risk it. It'll ruin our representation."

Johnson shrugged, "I don't think it would. Especially if we label him as ex-alcoholic and drug addict."

"Hey. I am an ex-alcoholic and drug addict, I put that behind me."

"Bam. Inspirational story."

I laughed, "I guess you can say that."

"You guys are ridiculous." My boss complained, "Anyone but Hannah, have it figured out before Leorio goes home."

"Yes ma'am." I joked.

I walked inside and smiled, "Hey Sunshine, surprised to see you in the kitchen. And with Lucy."

Kurapika looked up at me, "Oh yeah, I'm cooking meth."

"Oh wow my favorite." I laughed.

He smiled, "I'm actually making homemade applesauce, and stuff for dinner tonight. But do you mind answering a question for me?"

"Anything."

"Why were there pots in the oven?"

"Uh...we ran out if room on the shelves, and the dishwasher was dirty. It was only two pots."

"I'm not mad," he smiled softly, "It's okay. Just a funny thought."

I walked over to him, "Well, how was your day? You seem joyful."

"I'm so glad you asked!" He leaned over the counter to face me, "Okay! So, I went grocery shopping for dinner and cat food and all that, not important but whatever. I got home and looked at my calendar and realized that next month is Christmas! And I love Christmas time! But that's not all. Last month I forgot to tell you that I had a job interview for a teaching job and I got a call and I got the job! I'll finally be helping you!"

"Kurapika that's great! When so you start?"

"Right after the kids get back from Christmas break! During Christmas break they're letting me come in and decorate my classroom! Can you believe that? My classroom!"

"That's so amazing. What grade are you teaching? What subject?"

He rolled his eyes, "I'm starting off as a 'Teen Wellness' teacher for middle schoolers because I didn't go to college, but in a few years they'll let me teach highschool math!"

I smiled, "Sounds like fun."

He smiled, "Enough about me though. How was your day?"

"Eh, normal day at the hospital. People coughing up blood, my team doing nothing, my boss bashing me for drinking. The usual, but, we got to pick someone from my team to be the face of the hospital."

"Ooh who did you guys pick?"

I smiled, "All of us. We did a group picture, then we also did a funny one. I had to pay for the extra one and how many we would print out. We all got one plus one big one to put in the office."

I pulled the picture out of my bag, "Here it is. Do you think we could put it on the fireplace?"

Kurapika smiled at the picture before confused, "You have a girl on the team?"

I nodded, "Yeah, I thought I told you? Why?"

"How old is she?"

I chuckled, "Not old enough if that's what you're worried about. Don't worry, my entire team knows I'm married. And why aren't you also worried about the guys? I like both."

He shrugged, "You just have a heavier lean for women, and McDowell is old and I met Johnson, he's definitely straight."

I scoffed, "Yeah."

Kurapika smiled, "But whatever. I'm going to continue to cook thus celebratory dinner, can you take Lucille?"

"Of course."

"Thank you, I love you."

"I love you too Sunshine."
