Leorio POV

I watched Kurapika walk past me, he didn't even look at me. I looked at Killua and Gon standing beside me, "Is Kurapika acting weird to you guys?"

Gon shook his head, "He seems fine to me! But he did seem somewhat mad."

Killua shrugged, "Seems like normal behavior for a woman." He laughed, "I'm kidding, but he does seem distant."

I crossed my arms, "Why do you think that?"

Killua shook his head and frowned, "He didn't look or smile at you, in my opinion that's pretty sus." I looked at him, "What?" Killua looked disappointed, "It means suspicious, I thought you said you were a teenager."

"That was years ago."

"Whatever."

I looked at Kurapika, he was in the kitchen baking a cake, he only bakes if he's upset or it's a special occasion, "Hey boys, what day is it?"

Killua looked up in thought, "November twenty-third I believe, why?"

So he was stressed, "Nothing."

"Fuck!" Kurapika cursed from the kitchen. "Are you alright baby?" "Yes, and don't call me baby." He said sadly.

Killua covered his mouth, "Ooooh you're in trouble." I glared at him, "Shut up. I need to think brat." He shrugged and turned to Gon.

I sat down on the couch and watched Kurapika, his eyes were scarlet, great. "November twenty-third." I muttered, "I don't recall anything special on the twenty-third."

Kurapika sniffles and continued to make the cake. I sighed and looked down beside me, Oreo was lying there, "Do you know what's wrong?" The cat just meowed in response before jumping off the couch and going to Killua.

Kurapika walked out of the kitchen and looked at me, "The cake will be ready soon." Then went to our bedroom.

Killua appeared beside me petting Oreo, "You definitely forgot something."

"How do you know."

"My mom acted like that whenever my dad forgot something except she wouldn't cry, just scream."

"Well Kurapika hasn't screamed." Killua shrugged, "Okay man, but I'm telling you, you forgot something."

Kurapika came out of the room and went into the kitchen he looked like he was crying, "Do any of you guys know where I put the frosting?" I shook my head. He sighed and looked around.

A few minutes later he came out of the kitchen holding the cake, he held it up to me, "Look." I looked at the cake and sighed, in very messy letters it said "Happy Birthday Oreo The Best Cat In The World".

"I'm sorry I forgot." Kurapika looked up at me, "I know. Now we need to go to the store to get him a present because his other dad forgot." He set the cake down on the coffee table and looked at the two boys, "Don't eat this."

They nodded and Kurapika dragged me to the door, "Let's go, now." I nodded, "Alright."
