Kurapika POV

I looked up at the building and groaned, "What type of idiot decides to rent an apartment on Craigslist? I don't even know these people, what if one of them is some creepy old man." I mumbled the last part under my breath as I turned on my phone and began to message my soon-to-be roommate.

Kurapika: Hey Melody, just wanted to tell you I arrived at the apartment, can't wait to meet you three

Melody: Oh! Thanks for telling me! We're all home so you can just knock on the door, we're excited to meet you :)

Kurapika: Aw thank you, I'll be up in a second

Kurapika: I dont have many bags so no need to help

Melody: Alright, see you soon!

I turned my phone off and sighed, "Alright here we go. At least I don't have too many bags." I brought a bag, one suitcase, a small duffle bag, and had my mini bookbag. The bag was full I need for research such as empty and almost or halfway full notebooks, my computer, pens, pencils, pictures I took, and a polaroid camera. While my actual photography camera (to be more specific my Canon EOS R6) was slung around my neck.

The inside of my suitcase was full of clothes, a box of jewelry, a few framed pictures of family and friends and other accessories in the front pocket.

My duffle bag had shoes, only shoes and maybe some socks but mostly shoes.

While my mini book-bag had my money, toothbrush and toothpaste, stuff for my hair, my makeup (just eyeliner and that stuff), other things for my personal hygiene, and of course personal items.

I opened the front door and looked at my phone, Melody just texted me the floor and apartment number.

I sighed and began to head to head to the apartment.

I sighed and opened the door to the apartment building. Almost immediately I bumped into someone.

"Excuse you, watch where you're going." I said.

"Oh, I didn't see you there. Sorry." The man spoke with a light Spanish accent.

Um, you dropped something." He nodded to the ground and kicked my phone closer to me.

I picked up my phone and sneered at him, "Thanks."

"Well aren't you a little ray of Sunshine." He chuckled.

I put my phone in my pocket, "Excuse me Pretty Boy, but I have places to be which is why I'm being salty, so if you wouldn't mind moving."

The man nodded, "Of course." He stepped out of the way letting me walk by.

As I began to walk up the stairs he said one more thing to me, "See you around Sunshine."

"If you're that lucky." I yelled back at him, what an idiot.
