Rosinante guided you back into the bar, ordering you yet another one of your favorite drinks and, once you had each a drink in hand, he took you to a table so that you could be alone for a while. Being one of those tables that had one long seat surrounding the center, you could seat close together, his long arm holding you by the shoulders.

It was as if your minds and bodies had clicked. An unspoken bond had been created by your past meetings and you now felt comfortable when close to each other. Comfortable enough to be touchy, something that you didn't allow to happen with anyone. You barely knew anything of the guy yet you knew you were in the safe arms of a caring person.

"I don't want to sound weird, but I actually missed our mysterious meet ups." Chuckled Rosinante as a cloud of smoke escaped his dark lips.

Seeing him outside of work gave you a better image of who he actually was. Just like you had thought, he was much more fun to be around off than what he appeared, probably because when in uniform he had to give off a much more serious image.

"Me too." You smiled, alcohol already making you feel fuzzy on the inside. "Although, I must say I'm partly relieved."

"How so?" He replied, smile slightly fading away from his lips. Was this going to be your way of rejecting him? Smooth and painfully.

You stifled a chuckle as you saw his face drop.

He really is adorable!

"Well," You started, slightly scooting closer to him and being received gladly by the warm giant man, his hand helping you slide closer towards him and face approaching yours ever so slightly as he stared at your tempting lips. "You must've noticed I always came out harmed in one way or another from our encounters."

He laughed, nodding and squeezing your shoulders for a couple of seconds. Even if it were the slightest of touches, this man was setting your skin on fire. You craved for so much more.

"I'm sorry about that. At least we'll have a cool story to tell people of how we first met." He smiled sweetly making you blush and melt into his embrace. If he was talking about a cool story of how you first met, it meant he was interested in, at the very least, spending more time with you. "Oh! I have a question for you."

"Yeah?" You looked at him in amusement. It looked as if he had been living with the question on his mind for a long time.

"That day when you were-" He paused, trying to find a way that wouldn't offend you. He didn't want to call you a drunk or anything. "Not sober, you mentioned you weren't born in here." He said curiously. "Where are you from?"

Your eyes shone brightly at him. You had talked about this with Robin. There was a big possibility that your families were connected with each other since years ago, and you had wanted to ask him about it, but you didn't really know how to approach the subject. It would be a weird thing to ask him, specially on your first "date".

"My family and I were born in Dressrosa, I'm sorry for using it as such a cheap excuse." You said sheepishly, still feeling embarrassed about how your first interaction had gone down.

"Don't worry about it." He chuckled. "Really though?" He asked in shock, eyes glinting in excitement. "My family is from Dressrosa as well. I wasn't born there, but I've always wanted to know what it's like!" He smiled brightly at you.

This appeared to be something he had given much thought too. He looked far too excited about a simple country. Maybe he, just like you, liked to keep a connection with his roots.

"Oh, well, I didn't really live much time in there. I moved in here when I was around four."

His smile wavered slightly, his heart losing the hope of knowing more of his origin as soon as it had been built.
