after a while of everyone dancing the bridesmaids came and sat where me and kobe were but they sat on my side and the groomsman sat on kobe's side while everyone else that was invited was in front of us at their reserved tables

Mike: let me start with my toast aight so we're here for y/n and this light skin mother fucker named kobe
Mrs Chong: watch your mouth boy
Mike: sorry mama but anyways i'm proud to say i knew y/n longer than anyone sitting at this table so my opinion is the only one that matters and i say we start a petition for kobe to touch me tease me kiss me and lick me

mike sat down and all of us bust out laughing waiting for someone else to stand up then kobe's dad stood up tapping his glass and i heard kobe let out a loud sigh

Father: ok well i want to make a toast
Kobe: you don't need to do that

when kobe said that i nudged him under the table and gave him that look then he sighed and looked back towards his dad

Y: you can continue
Father: well um i was gonna say that as y'all know i'm kobe's father and if you know even more than you know i walked out on him and his mother and didn't look back until maybe nine months ago and i was so dumb and ignorant to do that i waited until i felt that i was good enough to come back because when i left i wasn't ready to be a dad or at least that's the excuse i used to try and justify my actions but nothing can ever justify what i did i got his mom pregnant and when she really needed me i just left without even considering anyone else's feelings and i'm so sorry kobe i was dumb but now i want to build a relationship with you and show you that i do care i know i'm nineteen years late and i'm so so sorry but if you're ok with it then i'm willing to try and be the father that you needed all these years
Kobe: i didn't need you then and i damn sure don't need you now

kobe slid his chair back and got up walking out of the place while kobes dad sat down at his table putting his hands over his face and i rubbed my forehead then got up walking out also to find kobe once i saw him i angrily walked up to him

Y: baby what was that
Kobe: i tried y/n but he started trying to feed everyone some sap story he's not sorry he left and he doesn't care he just wants everyone to think he does then maybe we'll welcome him back so he can use us i'm never going to forgive him for walking out on me
Y: baby i'm on your team one hundred and one percent and i'm not asking you to forgive him but please be nice even if you never want to see him ever again after today at least be a decent person he's trying and i see that and all he wants is to be back in your life and share this day with you and i'm not going to force you to forgive him because i don't know how you feel but please don't mess today up i really want this to go good and right now is not good
Kobe: i'm sorry y/n i'm trying but he just does whatever he can to try and seem like he's a good guy but i know he isn't a good guy wouldn't have walked out on his pregnant girlfriend and unborn son my dad was twenty three when my mom got pregnant i was fucking eighteen when you got pregnant and i didn't walk out shit i'm nineteen now and i'll be twenty in a few months and i just got married so there's no half ass excuse he can give me to try and justify his actions i don't care how young or stupid he was i don't want him in my life and i refuse to call him my dad
Y: hey and i'm never going to make you and you know that but remember today is about us if he says something you don't like then like the young adults we are we'll shrug it off and keep pushing now in the nicest way possible husband get your ass up and go back in there

i kissed kobe then we walked back inside and listened to the others who made toasts then we opened the gifts some people bought us for our new house and everything was finally going fine until the door opened and i looked over watching as skylar walked through the doors and i let out a sigh and nudged kobe pointing over to her then when he told me to ignore her and turned around i watched as she walked up to my parents talking to them then i walked up to her

Y: what do you want
Skylar: i came to congratulate you and oh my you look so pretty friend
Y: we ain't friends bitch
Mom: y/n be nice
Y: no she's not my friend and she wasn't invited so i don't understand why she even thought it was ok to be in my presence you're lucky i didn't whoop your ass after that little stunt you pulled
Skylar: what i didn't do anything

before i could finish kobe spun me around so i was looking at him

Kobe: baby not today how about we go dance or if you want we could go ahead and get out of here
Y: i can't stand you
Kobe: dancing it is let's go

kobe then pulled my hand and led me to the dance floor and started dancing like an idiot so i did the same thing and i felt so much better and we were both now a laughing and dancing mess
