After school, Sophie went over to Nate's house, specifically to talk to Marsha about everything that happened on New Year's. She didn't want Nate to know she was telling his parents.

"Hi Sophie." Marsha smiled as she walked in the house.

"Hi Marsha."

"How was your first day back?"

"Um, really good actually." Sophie laughed, "Is Nate upstairs?"

"Yeah, he's in bed, just go up, he should be awake."

Sophie walked towards her into the kitchen instead, "I actually wanted to talk to you privately, about New Year's."

"Oh, honey, really?"

Sophie nodded, "I just don't want Nate to know."

"That's fine, honey."

"So, it was this guy name Fezco, uh, we don't know why, but it could have something to do with the fact that, uh-" Sophie hesitated and tried to find the correct words.

"Something to do with what, Sophie?"

Sophie hesitated once again as cleared her throat, "Uh, well I may or may not have slept with him last summer."

Marsha's eyes widened and then she nodded, "Okay, um, alright, honey, I don't think that's your fault. There must have been some other reason he beat him up."

"No, I am 99% sure it had to do with me."

Marsha winced as she opened her mouth to talk, "I hate to ask this, but the baby is-"

"Yes, the baby is Nate's. I have no doubt in my mind."

"Okay, I'm sorry I asked that, I should have known better. Okay, uh, I'll keep this information to myself for now. Look, Cal went to the Howard house to find out information, so I'll just wait until he gets back to talk with him."

"He's at the Howard's?"

"Yeah, we didn't exactly believe Cassie or Lexi. I know they're your friends, but-"

"They were there. And so was Maddy."

She probably shouldn't have done that but it was too fucking late now.

"That's what we thought. Thank you for being honest, Sophie."

"I'm sorry it took me so long to tell you guys."

"Well you did, and that's all that matters." Marsha smiled at her.

Sophie smiled back, "I'm going to go up and see Nate."

Marsha nodded as Sophie made her way to the staircase and went up to Nate's room, knocking on the door.

"Yeah?"

Sophie opened the door and he looked up and smiled. He was laying in bed, all snuggled up.

"Hey." He smiled.

"Hey." She sighed as she shut his door and took off her leather jacket, laying down beside him.

"How was your day?"

"It was good. Really good."

"Good, I'm glad." Nate kissed her forehead.

"What about you?"

"Well, this is what I did all day."

She looked up at him, "I'm jealous, honestly. Your face looks better."

"It feels better too." Nate said, glancing down at her, "Hey, did you not accept the bank transfer I sent you today?"

"Um, no? I didn't know you sent me one. Why'd you do that?"
