Going back to school on Monday was rough, especially since everyone knew Sophie was pregnant. Nate had been escorting her to and from her classes for the last two weeks, which she didn't think was necessary.

"Nate, you really don't have to keep doing this." Sophie said as he followed her to her locker at the end of the day.

"I just don't want anyone to-"

"To what?"

"I don't know. Someone might say something or even try and hurt you and-"

"Nate." Sophie said, cutting him off, "I'm fine. Trust me."

"I don't want anything to happen to you or our baby."

The two of them walked to Nate's locker and then to the parking lot. He had also been giving her a ride everyday and she couldn't remember the last time she actually drove her car. She hopped into his truck and he started the engine, driving off.

His phone was going off, vibrating every 5 seconds in the cup holder, "Who keeps texting you?"

He glanced at his phone, "My dad."

"Well, do you want me to respond? He's texted like 15 times." Sophie asked, looking at him.

"Uh, no it's fine." he mumbled, grabbing his phone and sliding it under his leg.

Sophie looked at him suspiciously as he continued to drive.

Lately, he had been glued to his phone while they were hanging out and he was being really strange about it. Normally he wouldn't care if Sophie grabbed his phone or went on it, but lately, he would freak out as if he was hiding something.

"Okay, whatever." Sophie said, staring out the window as they pulled up to her house, "Thanks for the ride."

Nate stopped the engine and got out, following Sophie, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong." she said, heading up to her room as Nate followed her.

"Why are you suddenly so moody?" he asked, smirking a bit.

She threw her bag down, "Because Nate. Even though you and I have been in a really good place lately, I can't help but feel that you're extremely fucking distant. And it's all because of you and your stupid phone. You never take your eyes away from it when I'm talking to you and I'm fucking sick of it."

Nate scoffed, "This is because I go on my phone occasionally? Jesus, Sophie."

"Occasionally? It's all the time, Nate. I try talking to you about the baby and you literally don't answer until the third time I repeat it because you're always more focused on your fucking phone."

Nate laughed, "This is fucking ridiculous, Sophie. I don't know what's going on with you and your hormones, but this is all in your head and you sound crazy."

"Fuck you, Nate." she fumed and walked into the bathroom, slamming the door.

She wasn't crazy, she knew something strange was going on with him. She had to be right, right? He was probably hooking up with Maddy again and just didn't want her to know. She looked at herself in the mirror and took some deep breaths, she never imagined herself in this place. Pregnant with Nate Jacobs' baby and in-fucking-love with him and freaking out about him constantly being on his phone? She was starting to sound like a psychotic girlfriend, almost like Maddy was, and she didn't like that.

She walked over to her tub and started a bath, slowly stripping off her clothes and then adding bubbles. She let it fill up and then carefully got in, before letting herself completely relax. She cradled her small bump as she felt tears streaming down her face, she knew it was stupid to be upset over something so little, but her hormones were all over the place. But right now, she just needed to cry and let it all out.
