Chapter Two

McKay's party was tonight and of course, Nate coerced him into actually hosting the party, as usual. And rumour on the street was that Rue Bennett was back home after overdosing once again and Sophie knew that she could never pass up the opportunity to attend a party.

Sophie was feeling about the same, minus the puking. Her mom figured it was just a virus or period symptoms, but she never had her period show up. Again, that was typical, so she didn't think much of it. Sophie pulled out her phone and decided to text the group chat to see what the plans were for tonight.

so what's the plan for tonight?

Maddy
pre at my place! come over at 9

Sophie
okkk, what are you guys wearing?

Kat
no clue probably clothes though!
Maddy's probably going to dress like a hoe since Nate's being a douche

Sophie
lol, when isn't he being a douche?

Maddy
shut up Kat
you know me too well

Cassie
I'm coming over now because I'm ready

Maddy
k see you bitches soon
Lexi you better be coming

Lexi
I'm coming with Cassie

Sophie decided she should probably start to get ready since it was around 8 already. She decided on a tight lilac dress and some white converse, for extra comfort of course. Nate hated sneakers on girls, but why did that matter? He didn't control her. She threw on a bit of makeup before grabbing her black leather jacket to throw overtop. She straightened her hair and decided to chug some tequila so that she would have somewhat of a buzz going before they went.

Since Maddy only lived a few blocks away, she was able to walk over within a matter of minutes. She walked in, having already called Maddy saying that she was near her house, and said a quick hello to her parents before heading to her room.

"Finally, now the real party can begin." Kat said as Sophie walked in.

Sophie had a tendency to make everyone drink and have fun. She also normally lightened up the room, however, tonight would be different.

"Okay girl, you look good, but you need to ditch the jacket." Maddy said, eyeing her up and down.

Sophie rolled her eyes and took off the jacket and all the girls looked impressed.

"There we go!" Maddy said, snacking Sophie's bum.

"Hey Lex." Soph said, jumping on the bed.

Lexi and Sophie were the closest out of their friend group. Lexi was also the only other person who knew about her and Nate, and she truly hoped that she would keep that secret to the grave.

"Long time no see." Lexi said, laughing as they exchanged a look.

"Where's Cassie?" Sophie asked and Kat pointed to the Maddy's bathroom.

"She's already pretty drunk." Lexi said, giggling.

"Oh by the way guys, there's a new girl in town. Her name is Jules, so you'll have to meet her tonight." Kat said, her eyes not leaving her phone.

"You sound so thrilled by this new girl, Kat." Sophie said, giggling a bit.

The bathroom door opened to reveal Cassie, who looked at Sophie and raised her eyebrows, "Oh hey, how's it going, fuck buddy?"
