The last one for now. I'm so sad.

Honestly, I'll likely continue this story when season three comes back, but if I don't this can serve as the final chapter 🥺❤️

Please enjoy. I'm going to apologize in advance for the cliffhanger ending 😅

Nate and Sophie moved to Los Angeles a month later, shortly before Nate's 18th birthday. They wanted to get settled in before they had their new routine thrown at them. Sophie was worried about how the change would affect Mia. She was already taking her to on-campus daycare a few days a week for half days, but by September, she would be fully immersed in daycare most of the time. She would only be six months old and part of Sophie felt so fucking guilty.

Nate's dreams of being recruited by the football teams had been destroyed after the whole investigation last year, but he decided to try again. He wanted a second chance, and he loved football. And so after a few meetings and discussions and tryouts, he had made the fucking team. He likely wouldn't play that often, but it didn't matter. He liked having some sort of activity to do outside of his regular life and school.

They had a small condo, that was only a 10 minute walk from the campus. It was the perfect location for them.

"So, how's New York?" She asked Maddy as the two FaceTimed.

They had a new habit of doing it at least twice a week so they could catch up. And she tried to do it with Lexi at least once, if not Facetime, than a phone call each week. Both she and Nate talked to their moms almost every day, or every other day. And at times, they drove the two crazy.

"New York is amazing, Soph. Amazing." Maddy said with a smile.

"You look pretty. Where are you headed tonight?"

"I'm going to a club with some girls and guys in my program. So, wish me luck."

"Same people that went to the dinner party?"

"And the brunch, yup. They're great. A little extra sometimes, but it's perfect honestly."

"That's so great."

"How's warm, sunny California?"

"It's good, honestly it's so good. Nate is playing football with UCLA. He just found out."

"Oh no way! Where is he?"

"Let me call him. Nate!" Sophie yelled as he walked into the room with Mia in his arms, who was wrapped up in a towel, "Oh, sorry. Maddy was asking where you were."

"Hey Mads."

"Hey Nate, oh my god, look at her! All cute and clean! Hi Mia. My little cutie pie. Oh, congratulations on making the football team, Nate."

He smiled, "Thank you. How's the big Apple?"

She rolled her eyes, "Please don't call it that, but it's great."

"Good, well, I'm going to get this one ready for bed. Talk to you later." Nate said as he walked back out of the bedroom.

"She looks so much bigger already."
