Chapter Seventy-Three

"Elly, you came!"

"I did and I dragged Rue and Jules with me too. Uh, what is even going on at this party?" He motioned towards her attire and she laughed.

"We're just about to go in the hot tub."

"I don't think you're allowed to."

Sophie laughed, "I'm not, but they're turning the temperature down just for me."

"Good. Uh, I brought you a little something. It's not much but I also didn't want to show up empty handed." Elliot said as he passed her a bag.

Sophie was surprised by the weight of the bag, and she immediately knew what was in it, "Is this alcohol?"

She opened the bag and there was a bottle of her favourite vodka, and a huge bag of candy.

"I remembered what kind you liked, plus you said it was your favourite so, look, you're all set for when the baby gets here."

She smiled, "Well, honestly, I can't wait to drink this again. Thank you."

Elliot smiled, "Yeah, it's no problem."

The two shared a quick hug as Rue and Jules finally made it to the door.

"Hey! Happy birthday! Oh my god, look at this glowing girl, holy shit, how the fuck do you look amazing?" Jules as as they shared a hug.

"Oh stop, thank you."

"Uh, happy birthday Soph." Rue said as they shared an awkward hug, "Are we like, going swimming? Or something?"

"Hot tub, but it's basically a bath because of me."

Jules laughed, "Uh I got you something. Actually, I made it, and it's more for Mia."

Opening the bag, she saw a handmade light pink sleeper with small white butterflies all over it and her eyes started to water, "Jules." And as she pulled out a box, there were different sizes of delicate hair clips that were also white butterflies, "Thank you so much. This is, this is amazing."

"I know how much white butterflies mean to you." Jules said as Sophie wrapped her arms around her again.

"Okay, enough of the sappy shit. Are you guys going to come in?"

"Uh, who's here?"

"Rue, it doesn't matter." Jules said as Nate walked up behind Sophie, "Still doesn't matter."

"Um, there's me, Nate, Maddy, Kat, BB, Lexi and uh, Cassie's lurking around."

"Let's just go in, come on ladies." Elliot said as he led them inside and Sophie shut the door.

"You didn't tell me he was coming." Nate said as Sophie turned around.

"I wasn't sure if he would actually come, same with Rue and Jules."

Nate sighed, "I think I should go."

"Stay."

"Half of them hate me." He glanced over to the group of them, "This is a recipe for disaster."

"Nate, it's fine. Just stay for a little while longer."

Nate slightly rolled his eyes, "Okay, alright."

When they all went out to the hot tub, Cassie was no where to be found, yet Elliot, Rue and Jules were looking towards the house as they stood on the grass. Sophie went over to see what they were looking at and saw Cassie dancing around in her bathing suit with a bottle of wine in hand.
