Chapter Twenty-Five

Nate went over to Sophie's shortly after Brenda left. He told his parents he was going out, which they were hesitant about at first, but he didn't fucking care. He was free. Finally.

"Soph?" Nate yelled when he walked into the house, but there was no reply.

He walked upstairs to her room and she was trying on the dress she found for their costume, but it seemed that she couldn't get the zipper at the back.

"Need some help?" Nate asked and she looked up, with a smile.

Nate thought that she looked absolutely beautiful and he was honestly a bit speechless.

"You look beautiful, Soph." he said, walking over to her as she blushed.

"Thank you." she replied, turning around so he could zip her up.

The zipper didn't budge at first but Nate was able to get it after a few tries.

"Okay, it's a little tighter than I thought." Sophie said, walking over to the mirror, "Oh my god, look at my bump."

Nate walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, placing his hands on her stomach, "I think it's adorable."

"Where's your costume?" Sophie asked, turning around to face Nate and he smirked.

"You never told me what to wear, but I did bring a suit."

"That's perfect."

"Do you think people will get our costume?"

"Definitely, why wouldn't they?"

Nate shrugged, "I don't know."

"They will, don't worry." Sophie turned back around to the mirror again, "Now, can you please unzip me?"

Nate frowned, "What, why?"

"Because I have to wear it all night and we still have awhile before we head out. I just want to be comfy for a bit."

"Fine." Nate sighed, unzipping her dress, which she slipped out of and threw on sweats and a t-shirt.

Sophie layed down on her bed and Nate joined her, "When can we go find out the gender?"

Nate really wanted to know if the baby was a boy or a girl. Honestly, he didn't want boys, like at all. But, he also didn't want girls. However, he would rather have a mini Sophie running around rather than a mini him.

"We can book an appointment for next week." Sophie exclaimed as her face lit up.

"We should."

Sophie had always wanted to have boys, but after being with Nate and finding out about  Cal Jacobs' secret, the last thing she wanted was a boy. However, she had a feeling it was a boy and not a girl, but who knows, right?

"Nate?" Sophie asked as Nate looked over at her.

"Yeah?"

"Does anyone know that you've been let off the hook?"

"Define anyone." he said and she rolled her eyes.

"Anyone other than your family, my family, Jules, Maddy-"

"No, no one knows."

Sophie nodded as she felt her phone vibrate, it was Lexi.
