"You what?" Maddy spat, her jaw dropped as she gave Nate a look of confusion.

"I held a gun to her head then to mine and-"

"Woah, woah, woah, okay stop talking, like right now. You said that you held the gun at her then at you?"

"Yeah, but there were no bullets in it but I was pretending to actually pull the trigger-"

And Maddy smacked Nate in the face, "What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Ow, what was that for?" He asked, rubbing his jaw, "Have I not been beat up enough in the last few months?"

"Apparently not. Is your head not screwed on right? You fucking held Cassie, of all people, at gunpoint and you expected that she would just back off?"

"She said she was scared of me then now she just said she wasn't."

"Nate, it's Cassie. I don't know how many times we need to tell you, but she's gone a little bit, uh, nuts."

"Yeah, I think everyone can fucking see that, Maddy."

"I can't believe you held a gun to her. The fuck is wrong with you, fuck." Maddy groaned.

"Can we like, not mention this whole thing again?"

"Excuse me? If Cassie has the guts to come over here while I'm sitting here with you, whose to say she won't do the same tomorrow when you're with Sophie, or when Sophie's alone. What if she corners her and tells her?"

"I didn't think she would find out."

"You didn't think she would find out? What the hell were you thinking? It's Sophie. She finds out everything, and you know that."

"Are you going to tell her?"

"She'll figure it out before I fucking tell her. That girl is always two steps ahead of you."

"Fuck." Nate groaned, "She knows I broke into Cassie's house, I told her that much, but she doesn't know how I got what I needed back."

"What did she even take?"

"Uh, something of my dads."

"Something illegal?"

"Maddy, don't ask questions, alright?"

"Okay, fine." She put her hands up defensively, "But if you don't say something to Sophie tonight, you're bound to have an issue with Cassie tomorrow that you'll have to explain."

"She just doesn't need to know this shit right now, like, she's going through enough-"

"No, she does need to know, so, you'd better fucking tell her." Maddy said as she stood up and walked off, leaving Nate to think about the whole situation.

He was just trying to get the disc back.

And trying to force Cassie out of their lives.

But it didn't work in the way he had hoped.

Fezco stayed for about an hour at Sophie's before he left. Sophie was happy that he found joy in Lexi, and she thought the two were the perfect pair in a way. They shared a lot of similar qualities that they didn't even realize.

Nate walked through the door approximately 10 minutes after school ended, so, he must of been speeding on the way here. And he looked angry, which wasn't a good sign.

"Hey, how was your day?"

"Where is she? Sleeping?"

"Can you answer me first? Remember, I'm still here too. You can bond with Mia all you want but don't forget about me." She joked.
