“A-Argus...” Gulat kong bulalas na may pagkabahala ang tinig. I just tilt my head slightly to look at him but then he rested his head on my shoulder.

“How’s my emperial consort, hmm?” He whispered before he intimately kissed my shoulder. “Uhmm, o-okay naman ako. I—I’m happy for what happened today. At least now I feel like I’m belong here at hindi na parang isang ligaw na bulaklak sa isang harding puno ng rosas.” Marahan kong tugon.

“Good! I’m happy that you are happy. “ He said calmly before he kissed me again but on my temple bago niya hinigpitan ang pagyakap sa aking bewang.

“From now on, you can do whatever you want inside this palace as long as you don’t break any palace rule because that would be hard for me to handle sapagkat ako at ako ang magpapataw ng parusa sa iyo according to the consequences of your action you please, be careful. I have gifted you books about the things you must learn about the palace so you should read them. That would keep you away from trouble dahil ayukong mapahamak ka o makagawa ng ikasisira mo. I don’t want you to be living in here like a hell, I just want you to live happily while living with me here.” Seryoso at mariin niyang saad kaya naman tinungunan ko na lamang siya ng pagtango at pag-ngiti.

“ Anyways, as I was saying you can now roam around the palace if you want, go see the queen too. She mentioned that you bumped into her sa hardin noong nakaraan.” Dugtong niya kaya bahagya akong nabigla.

“Ah n-napag-usapan niyo yun?” I curiously asked. Nagkibit balikat muna siya.

“The queen has been with me the whole day, subrang dami niyang nakwento sa akin. See, it’s your installation day but I couldn’t go to you a while ago because aside from her , the officials keep on bugging me about something which is bothering me.” He said in a quite frustrated  voice kaya naman napakalas ako sa kanya.

I disclosed his arm from my  waist bago ko ko siya harapin.

“You seems bothered hmm, may I know why is that?” Mahinahon ko namang saad.

He just let out a deep sigh before he sat down still looking bothered.

I asked Pim for a tea first na agad namang tumalima bago ako naupo sa kabilang upuan at ipinatong ang aking kamay sa lamesa sa pagitan namin. Tinitingnan ko lamang siya while waiting for him to talk.

“S-so, may I know what is bothering you Your Majesty?” Muli kong saad.

“I’m-- I’m sorry ngunit hindi ko maaring sabihin sa iyo o kahit na sa reyna pa ang tungkol sa state and pilitical affairs ng palasyo. ” Nakatingin niyang saad.

“Hmm, o-of course. I--I know that.” Mahinahon ko lamang saad noong tingnan niya ako.

“That’s it? Wala ka nang ibang sasabihin?”

“Hmm? What else can I say?” taas kilay ko ring saad bago uminom ng tsaa nung agawin niya iyun sa akin.

“Hmm, look this woman right here, can’t you try a little bit more para naman iparamdam sa akin that if I’m bothered you are bothered too.” He said dramatically na kunwari ay nagtatampo.

“Hmm, eh ang sabi mo hindi ako pweding mangi-alam sa political affairs, yun ang ginagawa ko.” Sutil ko namang saad.

“Hindi ka ba nakokonsensya? Hindi mo manlang ba ako kukumbensihing sabihin sayo what my problem was for you to be able to console me?” He said still whining like a little boy kaya naman tuluyan na akong humalakhak ng bahagya.

“You know what, hindi mo bagay magga-gaganyan!” sarkastiko kong saad sa tonong palengkera kaya naman tumawa na din siya but he turned back into a serious face matapos kaya naman nagseryoso nadin ako.
