Halley Larusso had the perfect life, amazing friends, loving family, good grades and money, what else could she ask for? Well, that's easy to answer:

Halley had a hard time sleeping that night, she rolled in her bed, tangled in her sheets not knowing what time it was, with her head full of thoughts, the tournament being the main one, she was excited, the nerves still hadn't settled but the anticipation of the challenges to come tomorrow had her too restless to fall asleep. She wanted to get on with it, she wanted to go out there and do her best, push her limits against the best fighters in the world, she wanted to represent her dojo, her friends and herself properly. She reminded herself why she was fighting, she was fighting for herself and as long as she was proud of what she did on the mat, nothing else mattered and with that thought she finally fell asleep, although probably much later than she should've.
But that didn't matter, still Halley was the first one to be up in her room, the sun just starting to rise, she sat in her bed a couple of minutes staring off into the distance contemplating what was gonna happen that day, then she got up and got ready for the day and managed to not wake up the other two girls, which wasn't a surprise, she'd heard them tussling in bed as late as she was.
She decided since she was up so early a walk in the beach would be nice and she was so right about that, the sunrise was beautiful and at that hour of the morning there was no one out there which helped her clear her mind, she did some meditation and practiced her Kata until the tourists started coming out to enjoy their day under the sun, that was her cue to leave back to the hotel

"The time has come. Welcome to our first event. I hope you're all well rested and ready for a new and unique competition. We call it the 'Captain's War'. We told you how important your captains will be. So let's see how well you protect them. Four dojos will take the mat. Only one will be left standing. If you hit the mat, you're out. If one of your captains hit the mat, your entire team is out for this round" Halley inspected the other dojos and their captains and just by looking at them she could tell none of them would be an easy fight "Check the boards to see your group decided by random draw. Group A, you're up"
"Perfect" Halley scoffed, Cobra Kai and Iron Dragons were two of the ones they'd be fighting
"Cobra Kai, of course" Daniel said in a similar fashion. They all huddled together to try and discus how they'd be approaching the situation
"Let them come to us" Miguel said "Protect the egg"
"We need to be careful with that, Tory may not have trained with us a lot but she picked up stuff quickly, she knows our tactics" Halley warned "We should stick with what we know for now, just watch out. Stay together" Halley said, game voice on
"Make sure Halley and Robby are safe" Halley wanted to fight she knew that much, but she also wanted points, the final is what she was after
"I can be on the front line" Robby argued
"No, no, no" Miguel said and Halley shook her head as well "You just stay back and stay focused"
"Why wouldn't I be focused" Robby immediately got defensive
