The adrenaline coursing through their veins was almost visible to the other dojos when they walked out to the main area, also the determination in their eyes, they knew they were gonna give it their all to advance, they had fought to get to where they were in that moment, not only through the tournament but also in the valley, since the beginning the rivalry had them in the middle of a constant battle and they knew at some point it would have to come down to this, they just weren't expecting it so soon
"Because both Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai are one and one, whoever wins this match advances. And whoever loses is eliminated" They were all standing in line staring directly at their rivals but this time they couldn't be intimidated
"Alright. Remember, trust, tag, teamwork" Daniel told them making sure everyone was understanding
"You got this" Johnny nodded firmly "Who's in first?" they all looked at Robby knowing whoever they put him against he'd be able to take it, they all knew what he had in him and without another word it was decided and they all moved to their places and so were the Cobra Kais, but Tory interrupted Kwon's walk towards the middle, instead putting herself in front of Robby. Robby and all the Miyagi-Dos looked as confused as the male Cobra Kai captain, clearly that was not what they had planned. Halley saw the way Robby's face dropped and he never went on stance
"Oh god. Come on, Robby" she mumbled to herself
"Fight!" He was not ready, but Tory was and when the blonde started aggressively Robby could only react enough to defend and move back but he was so out of focus that the blonde threw him to the ground, conveniently next to Sam
"Robby, tag me in" he didn't hesitate and Sam jumped in against Tory who stayed aggressive, not wavering at the change of opponent. Sam stayed in defense, trying to keep Tory at bay but it looked like the blonde was unwavering, she was still as aggressive as when she started and after a few seconds Sam naturally started to slow down but it was as if Tory had chugged two cups of espresso, she never let the intensity of her attacks drop
"Sam, tag me" Halley said when her cousin was close and knowing she couldn't keep her defense up for much longer she allowed the other brunette to take over. Halley didn't bother with defence, she came in swinging at Tory's chest, she hadn't moved from covering it when Halley went to kick her and in a quick movement changed directions to the blonde didn't see her move coming and Halley managed to get one of her legs from under the blonde sending her to the floor but before she could deliver the point Tory extended her arm and tagged Kwon in. Halley cursed and immediately backed away to put some distance between her and the boy who she knew to be extremely quick and aggressive.
She wasn't able to put enough distance and she made a mistake by taking the fight to the middle of the mat, away from her teammates to try and tag someone else in and Kwon made sure to keep her there, he was taunting her and she knew it, she was managing to cover his advances and fell completely in defense. He kept circling her while still attacking to keep her in place until he got tired of the dance and finally kicked her exposed chest making her stumble finally away from the middle of the mat and right besides Miguel
