Halley by that point just wanted to be done with the day. The team was falling apart and Eli had been burning holes in the back of her head ever since his fight with Erick, he was currently doing so as she stretched before they had to go back out to the mat. Miguel was the last one there with them two and he felt the tension so he decided to step out leaving the couple alone.
Halley didn't wanna ask, she knew her ex boyfriend had said something, but she didn't wanna ask, not before the elimination. She didn't feel it would be appropriate and they wouldn't have enough time to unpack it, they'd have time after whether they won or lost. However her boyfriend's plans were much different as he stood with his arms crossed towering over her
"Erick approached you and you didn't tell me?" Halley sighed deflating slightly mid stretch, she looked up to her boyfriend staring back at her expectantly, she knew there was no lying then
"In the aquarium, yeah" she got up from the floor crossing her arms
"And why the hell didn't you say anything?" he lifted his arms in the air
"It was not important" she shrugged "Nothing happened other than him being annoying"
"I think my girlfriend's ex-boyfriend approaching her would be important to mention. Especially knowing him" he scoffed "I could've done something there"
"That's exactly why I didn't say anything. You get riled up easily, the last thing we need is more of a reason to lose our minds on the mat. Have you seen this dojo lately?"
"You think I'm gonna lose my mind?"he asked in disbelief
"It wouldn't be the first time" Halley immediately knew she messed up with her words, she was annoyed and was taking it out on her boyfriend. She was using something he no longer was against him, she saw the slight hurt in Eli's eyes before he pursed his lips and nodded. There were no more exchanged because Johnny, not sensing the tension in the room, leaned in from the doorway
"Hawk, LaRusso, we need to go out there, come on" and he was gone. Eli walked away without looking at her a second time, Halley shook her head and ran her hand through her hair pulling it back before following the guys outside as she braided her hair again like she had it that morning

As they waited for instructions Halley looked around, still no Daniel in sight and she was getting more and more worried. While she did that Sam, who had already taken note of her dad's absence also noticed the distance between the other couple in the group. She looked curiously as Eli stood besides Miguel and Halley on the complete other end of him, which most people wouldn't have batted and eye at, but they were pretty much attached to the hip so that wasn't right
"What's up with you and Hawk?" Sam nudged Halley
"Huh?" she was snapped out of her thoughts "Oh, nothing's wrong. Why would anything be?" Sam shrugged
