Halley Larusso had the perfect life, amazing friends, loving family, good grades and money, what else could she ask for? Well, that's easy to answer:
Nothing

"You need to tell them" Halley said as she got ready for her date with Eli, the boy had been taking her out almost every day after they came back from Barcelona to 'make up' for the date he promised to take her in and couldn't
"I know, I know" Sam groaned as she laid sprawled on her bed. She'd been talking about how Daniel had sold a car to a guy from the UCLA admissions office
"They'll support you" Sam sat up to give Halley an incredulous look through the mirror she was using to get ready before flopping back down to the bet. Halley rolled her eyes "Sure, they'll probably worry. Uncle Daniel more than Auntie" She mumble "But they'll be supportive, it will take a second for them to get used to the idea, but they won't stop you from doing something you really want"
"How did you tell your parents?"
"I just told them I was looking for options abroad" Halley shrugged simply "You know they like the idea of studying abroad" Sam just groaned behind her, it sounded muffled probably because of a pillow she'd grabbed. There was a minute of silence where Halley was just humming softly to the song that was faintly playing through the speakers
"What are you getting ready for, anyway?" Sam sat up again to look at her cousin through the mirror this time curiously
"Eli is taking me out" Halley smiled unconsciously thinking of her boyfriend
"Again?" Sam was surprised and with a reason, they'd been having to schedule their plans around the dates for weeks "Where is he taking you this time"
"I don't know, he never tells me" she shrugged "He just told me to dress up"
"How hasn't he run out of places to take you at this point?"
"He's creative" that far he'd taken her to get ice cream, a walk to the beach, star gazing, picnic date, skating, painting date, theater, home movie date, they'd gone dancing, for milkshakes, to a museum and they just kept going "I think this time it's dinner though, that's the one we haven't gone to"
"Send me pics"
"Always do" Halley assured

Halley had turned into Eli's personal hairdresser, he now wouldn't even think about going to a salon to get his color done knowing his girlfriend would and even if her bathroom didn't appreciated, it was something they both enjoyed
"How is it that I ended up always doing your hair?" she asked as she helped him wash off the dye, the last step after the process taking hours
"You do it well" was his explanation
"I need to start charging you for this, people pay hundreds of dollars for these colors"
"But you love me, so you would never" he pouted looking sideways at her
"Debatable" she joked with a half serious face
"Hey!" he splashed some water on her, making her jump back
"Okay, okay." she surrendered not wanting to mess her bathroom more than it already was "I do love you" she admitted and leaned over to peck him
"Are you sure there's no chance of me convincing you to match your hair with me?"
"Nope" she shook her head with a smile "I'll leave the bright colours to you" She did love his hair and she didn't particularly know why, she wasn't sure in anyone else she'd find it so attractive, she guessed it came with the being in love thing, she found him good looking anyway

It was the anniversary of LaRusso auto and Halley obviously was invited and she took it gladly because it was an excuse to dress up nice and of course she took Eli along with her because if there was one thing she liked more than dressing up it was doing it with her boyfriend, many opportunities to take pictures and look cute together all night. The shop was filled that night and all conversations were stopped by Daniel clinking his glass
"Everyone!" they all turned to face him and walked closer to hear what he had to say "I just wanna thank you all for being here with us tonight. We are so lucky to be surrounded by friends and family" they were all there, his eyes lingered in his brother and sister in law standing behind his niece, grateful that they could be there for that moment "And the family that we have chosen, the LaRusso Auto family. You know, a family means that we love and support each other no matter what and that we could be proud of every step forward we've taken together. And even after 18 incredible years, there's still so much ahead of us. In the early days of this business, things were pretty uncertain. We knew we were taking a risk. We had no idea if we'd be well received. But we've built something of our own. We trusted each other. We trusted that it would all work out okay because we had each other. So thank you to everyone in our family, old and new. Here's to the next step forward" they all raised their champagne glasses "Cheers" they clapped for him and clinked their glasses.
The teens invited to the celebration rounded together once again not having much interest in talking to the other adults over themselves but their easy conversation was interrupted by their phones receiving a notification comically at the same time. They wouldn't have thought about it twice if it was just one or two of them at the time, but all five of them was weird and when they read the message on their screens all of their eyes widened in the same surprised reaction
"You're kidding" Halley asked a shocked smile in her face
"This is sick" Eli laughed. Sam led them all to where Daniel and Johnny were standing
"Dad, is it true?" Sam asked immediately "Is the tournament back on?" he looked at johnny both men with knowing smiles and they both nodded at their students as they saw their faces morph into excitement
"It's true. If that's what you all want" They nodded their heads with smile, Robby and Halley looked at each other with a confident nod

Halley did really want to finish the tournament, the feeling in her stomach that something wasn't finished had been bugging her and she wanted to finish something before closing a chapter of her life which is what the tournament signified. Karate had been in her life since she could remember, it had changed her life in so many ways in the last few years and she'd forever take that with her wherever she went but after leaving the Valley she'd most likely lower the consistency, the training more for fun and to clear her head more than to get ready for something. What ever happened in the end she would use as a learning experience that she'd keep forever and she was ready to take on whatever the last phase of the tournament had for her

Hello, hello
A bunch of Heli this chapter because I love them and I'm mourning the fact that I know soon enough I won't be writing them anymore and I will have to start over with other two characters
