Finding where Stingray lives was not a hard thing so as soon as they knew where to go, Bert, Demetri, Miguel, Eli, Sam and Halley went to his house, they decided to send the younger one of them ahead and seconds later after the door was opened the older teens made their appearance, the smile the man held at the sight of his friend erased when the rest walked in his line of vision
"Miyagi-Fangs?" He was immediately taken back. "Oh, this is a trap!" The man was clearly not about to win a prize for his intelligence" Oh, you Admiral Ackbar-ed me. Et tu, Bert-tay?" Halley really, really hoped going there wasn't a waste of time because she didn't want to have to be listening to that man talk for nothing
"Knock it off. We know Kreese never hurt you" Eli was also clearly not wanting to be there more time than he had to
"According to my testimony in a court of law, he did. So...read the transcript" he went to close the door and was stopped by Sam
"You lied to the court, and you lied to my dad" Sam said surely
"And now you're not gonna lie to us" Halley raised her eyebrows menacingly, and like that they all started walking into the apartment

The guy was making it very hard for all of the teens to keep their cool as he refused to give them the information they needed
"What happened that night? Who hurt you?" Demetri asked
"Hey Bert, how does it feel?" the man asked looking at the young blonde
"Look. Look at me.Look at me" Demetri called for his attention back, uselessly
"To stab a grown man in the back between his shoulder blades and stare at the blood as it trickles down his back?" Halley rolled her eyes at the dramatism of the man
"God, enough!" Eli hit the table fed up "No more games"
"My dad went through a lot of pain because of you and Silver" Sam took the softer path this time "And now a lot of other people will too if you just sit back and do nothing"
"But if I tell you what really happened, you know, he-he'll find out. I can't. It's not that easy, you guys" there was a silence, all feeling some kind of sympathy for the man as they knew to the extents Silver could go to if things didn't turned out like he wanted them to "Actually, there...Um,wait" they attention was back on him when they realized that maybe he could give them something they could use "Okay, so I've been working on this new D&D campaign--"
"I don't think we have time for this" Miguel shut him down immediately and started to walk away
"Wait a minute" Eli stopped him "What happens in the campaign Stingray?"
"Okay, so, once upon a time, there was a Dwarven monk, and he was a member of the most badass guild in all the land" he started to tell his story with the figurines on the table "Uh, he was banished for a time. You know, typical PC crap. But, um, once he paid his penance, he returned. Only by then, the guild was under new leadership. And the monk was denied reentry into the guild. And quite unceremoniously, might I add. So what did the monk do?The monk made a pact with a silver-haired king who would usurp the leader. And it was early one morning, before any of the warriors had arrived, that the king struck the monk down. Again, and again, and again. It was then that they framed the leader for the assault, and the leader was put in chains, and the silver haired king took over the guild." They all understood what the man was telling them with his nerdy analogy
"And you were..." Demetro stopped himself to correct his words "The Dwarven monk was let back into the guild?"
"I would say that's a yes" Halley answered looking around the luxurious apartment
"With benefits" Eli added
"Aye. With benefits, yeah" he mumbled nodding
"Okay, so why can't he just tell everyone what really happened?" Miguel asked
"Because he doesn't want to lose his benefits" Sam answered standing up
"No! No! I would...The-The monk would give it all back if he could, but the-the silver-haired king, you know, he....he almost killed the monk. He could have killed him. And why? To get power. So, yeah, the monk fears what the king would do to keep that power. I think the monk just...The monk just wanted to reentry into the guild because he thought that he could be like a...Like a proud and noble warrior. Just like you Hawk, Samantha, Halley, all you guys. But he's neither proud nor noble. Definitely not a warrior. He just sits around playing with them all day. The monk's just scared. I just can't. I'm sorry" and with that, they had a dead end on how to ruin Silver
"That's great. Thanks for nothing" Sam was the most disappointed of them all and the first one to walk away, Miguel chasing after her. They gave the former couple a moment before they followed after them. Sam approached Halley as they all walked out of the building "I'm gonna talk to Tory'' she blurted out, Halley's eye widened in surprise
"You're gonna what?" Halley stopped in front of her cousin
"I need to. There's things I need to solve" Sam said determined
"Do you need back up?"
"I'm not going to fight, but support would be nice" Sam nodded and Halley didn't need to be told twice, she jumped in the car with Sam as she filled Halley in what Miguel had told her and the reason she was going to see Tory
