Life moved on fairly well after the fall of Cobra Kai. Halley finally could focus on herself, her boyfriend and her college applications. That feeling of tranquility, like she didn't have to constantly look over her shoulder felt almost foreign to her and she hadn't realized how good it felt to not walk around with the extra tension in her shoulders.
The Miyagi-Do dojo felt fuller than ever, now that Eagle Fnag had joined them along with some of the former Cobra Kai students, it felt like every corner of the place was packed, Halley was not exactly complaining about that, the extra noise allowed her to work in her focus while meditating but at that moment it wasn't the noise of the other kids that was making her lose her focus, it was the blonde hair belonging to Angela Armani that was bothering her.
The girl had been coming to the dojo with Tory, the latter came through Robby and dragged her friend along with her and even though Angela had apologized, Halley was still wary of her presence around her, it was a lot of history to just forgive and forget quickly. Halley was being cordial, so was Angela, both exchanging awkward smiles and Acknowledging nods of greeting. In the end her thoughts were interrupted by her boyfriend and his best friend who wanted to make an announcement in front of everyone.
Halley knew what that was about, Demetri had barged in her house one day as she and Eli were trying to have a movie date and stole him from her. The blue-haired boy had come back later telling her all about it, followed by him and Demetri disappearing for the next few days to execute their idea. She told them she didn't think it was the best idea, knowing how much her uncle honored and respected Mr.Miyagi and his name but they didn't listen. They made everyone vote for the final choice and she was intrigued in how the senseis were gonna take it, especially Daniel
"It's been a long road" Eli started solemnly "but we're finally on the same side. And as a reward? The toughest test any of us have ever had to face"
"The Sekai Taikai is the most prestigious karate tournament in modern martial arts history" Demetri continued "For over a century fighters from across the globe have gathered every two years to compete for the title of World's Best"
"If they All Valley is March Madness, this is the Olympics, plus the gladiator games and the kummite of Bloodsport all rolled into one" They were giving a good speech, they all had to give them that
"If we win-" Eli scoffed at Demetri "Excuse me. When we win" the tallet boy corrected "the spoils will be life-changing"
"But it's gonna take all of our focus and all the wisdom our senseis have to offer" Eli looked at the three older men
"Yes, which is why we decided to take at least one thing off your plates. Coming up with our new dojo name"
"Yes!" they were clearly very excited about it "After some spirited brainstorming and ad hoc focus-grouping and also a dojo-wide vote. We have a winner. We give you-" they both pulled the rug covering the dojo design
