The Angel

30 3 2

The eyes could light up the night sky
Brighter than any star

The voice that could lull beasts
To sleep
And sooth even the stormiest
Of minds

The beauty that could stop
Anyone in their tracks
Turn heads as she enters the room

And although she hides herself
Behind a sheet of hair
In fear of judgment and stares
She knows not of the glances
To never meet her own
Because they were always taught
That looking at an angel's eyes
Would blind them
And to miss a second of her beauty
Would be a crime in itself
