She stepped into the wide field
Stretched out her arms and smiled
As the brilliant snowflakes fell
Around like a halo
And she looked like an angel
That first time she saw snow
The flakes floated into her hair
Making a sort of crown on her head
And I walked up to her
And wrapped her in my embrace
As I held my snow queen
Face to face.
We watched the first snowfall
Every winter from then on
Until my snow queen found her place
In the sky where she belonged.
