Dearest love
I hope you know
You never really
Loved me so
You never got over
The ghost of your past
He took every light
You once thought would last
He's a serpent, a thief
You're a fish on his hook
He'll know your every weakness
He'll read you like a book
Oh how he'll make you feel
Like you're walking on air
But heed my warning dear
It's a feeling he doesn't share
He'll lie again
Just as he did before
I'm beginning to fear
This time will hurt much more
He'll either leave you in the dirt
Or burry you in the ground
No matter how loud you cry
He won't acknowledge a sound
He'll rip your heart from your chest
He'll do it as fast as he said he loved you
But still you crawl back
Because you think it's what you must do
You have nothing to redeem
No matter sorrow nor rage
But still you leave me for him
Like simply turning a page
Was it wrong I expected
Everything to end?
When you said, "I still
Want you to be my friend."
Well fuck your lies
And fuck your name
Because of you
I'll never be the same
