If I could recreate
The pain that you gave me
I would do a back flip off a bridge
And make you identify my body
I would set you on fire
I would make you swallow gasoline
God if you only knew
The darkness I had seen
I was a mix drink
Served at the bar
Mostly destroyed by alcohol
And nearly crashed my car
I would make you witness
The biggest tragedy of all
Watching my innocence
Disappear when I fall
Watch the light leave my eyes
It's not like you didn't see
Maybe ignorance makes it easier
Of course for you, not for me
Maybe that's all I wanted
I wanted you to feel
Because when you abandoned me
Nothing felt real
The sun didn't rise
And the stars didn't shine
And even when you called
I insisted I was fine
Why did I continue
To love your beautiful soul?
Why couldn't I let go?
It wasn't my goal
If I could recreate
The pain that you gave me
I'd make you spend that day
In my shoes, then you'll see
