The monsters are real
Like the stories have said
They started in darkness
And crawled in your head
You can tell in their host
When the eyes shadow fear
Know that all
Of our ends are near
Our fragile existence
Has kept them at bay
But inside our minds
We pray they will stay
My child, my dear
You will come to see
The monsters you fear
Are thriving in me
So I'll leave a warning
And hope you can try,
Oh dear, don't worry
For me, do not cry!
You're different, you see
You can change your fate
Save yourself
Before it's too late.
