Of Light

I've seen the dark

In every spark

I've seen insanity

With greatest clarity

Do not tell me

I don't know what I see

For I cannot ignore

The murder and gore

You've littered my mind

With happiness nowhere to find

You've expressed more negativity

In a cross and what you say I am to be

Do not tell me I don't know of light

For I've seen less dark in my lowest plight

Don't tell me it is not present at my feet

All you've shown me is hate and deceit

You say I've drifted away

But I see your glance leading stray

I've not drifted from the good in the light

I've simply purged the idea of another fight
