We weren't any sort
Of destined to be
You were destined to be
Nothing to me
We looked at our worlds
Yours in black
Mine in grey
And no matter how hard I tried
I couldn't show you any white
Because grey and black
Only make a dark color
That you couldn't see any brighter
We were never meant to mix
And I could never see
All black and all white
There was never true bad
Without good reason
There was never true good
Without darkness behind it
And maybe at once my world was white
But you seeped your way in
Tinting everything
But you never received the light
And I'm sorry
Because I was never a part of you
But you were always a part of me
