Chapter 24

He gets in bed and snuggles up behind me, pressing his body to mine, we are spooning.

I've never done this with anyone before, I didn't think it would feel this intimate...

"Mar? Are you comfortable?"

I rub my head into the arm he has stretched out beneath me. "Very, are you?"

"Yeah... this is nice, right?"

"It is..."

"Goodnight, Mar."

"Goodnight..."

In the morning I am woken up by Kenny's alarm. He reaches over me to turn it off, then he groans.

"Already morning..? I was so comfortable..."

I turn around in bed and look at him, "Your morning voice is sexy."

He blushes, "Sexy?"

"Sorry... that was a strong choice of wording. But I mean it."

"Come here, Mar."

He pulls my waist toward him and kisses me.

"Kenny... as much as I would love to kiss more, we need to get ready for school. We have that history test today."

"Damn it. You're right."

We both get out of bed.

"Mar, do you need clothes? I can lend you some."

"I have an extra skirt I can wear, but maybe I can take one of your hoodies..?"

"Okay, let me see what I can find."

He sifts through his closet and takes out a black hoodie. I take it and go to the bathroom to get changed. Karen set out my wig for me, she even styled it last night which was really nice.

Karen and Kenny are standing by the front door putting their shoes on. I join them and we head out.

The rest of the week is pretty normal. I spend time with Kenny everyday and I went swimsuit shopping with Karen. She helped me figure out how to tuck so that I could wear a bikini.

The weekend almost takes too long to arrive, I have been way too excited all week for this. Karen puts my natural hair in a small bun before Kenny and I drive to school to catch the field trip bus.

Everyone looks a bit different than they usually do, a bit more summery.

Kenny and I sit next to eachother on the bus, infront of us are Stan and Kyle. They are too busy talking about a new game to really try and make conversation with us. I'm okay with that. More time with Kenny to myself.

Kenny wraps his arm around my shoulder as we travel. The ride is about an hour long so we do our best to get comfortable.

"Are you gonna be okay getting ready alone, Mar? I know Karen has been helping you practice but since she isn't here I would be willing to help you get ready."

"Kenny, do you even know what I do to get ready?"

"No, but it can't be too hard if we both work at it."

I sigh, "I have to get completely naked and tuck my junk away so that the bikini bottom looks right. I don't know if you are quite ready to be manhandling my genitalia just yet."
