Bunny - Kenjorine - Transition

Chapter 30

She raises an eyebrow at me, "Are you going to do what I think you're going to do?"

"Nothing too serious... but I want to show him a-"

"OKAY! That's plenty of info. I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you!"

She rolls her eyes and laughs, "No problem, Casanova."

On Wednesday Karen and I go shopping. Kenny was upset when I told him he couldn't go along but after I explained it was a surprise he backed down. He seems to really like surprises. His eyes lit up when I mentioned it.

I know he's gonna love my surprise.

Karen grabs a small cart and starts pushing it around aimlessly, gathering decorations and sauces. I slip a large cucumber into the cart when she isn't looking. Then I start to grab the things I'll need to cook breakfast.

I keep all the groceries at my house so Kenny doesn't see them. When I'm alone at night I take out the cucumber I bought. If I want to give Kenny the best version of my present, I need to practice sucking on this cucumber. I look ridiculous, but it's necessary.

I get to Kenny's house early on Saturday to help Karen set up all the decorations.

I knock on the door and Karen answers. "Welcome! Come in, you can hide the ingredients in the back of the fridge. Kenny is in his room. I told him that he isn't allowed to come out until we tell him to."

I go inside and hide my things. Karen hands me some decorations and we get to work.

After about 30 minutes, we finish. It looks really nice, oranges and reds dance across the walls.

Karen takes out the cake, "His friends should be here soon, will you go get Kenny?"

"Yeah."

I knock on Kenny's door and go in. He combed out his hair a little, it's cute that he wants to look nice for his birthday.

"Mar, hey."

"Hey. We finished decorating if you wanna come out."

"Okay." He walks up to me and kisses me before going into his living room. My face feels hot...

His guests arrive in this order: Kyle, Tweek, Stan, Clyde, Tolkien, and Craig.

I stand next to Karen when everyone arrives. I know them all but I feel a bit awkward. I haven't talked to any of them since Eric outed me to the whole school.

Kenny greets everyone with a smile. He looks really happy, which makes me happy.

"Is your girlfriend going to join us?" Kyle gestures over to me.

Kenny turns to me and smiles, "Only if she's comfortable with it. Mar, you can come over if you want, if not then you can do whatever."

He is so sweet...
