Chapter fifteen

"All is fair in love and war."

The next morning, Beatrix had woken up and headed downstairs, as her mom and grandma were sitting at the dining table eating breakfast, Beatrix walked over to them "are you going to school today?" Beatrix mother asked her, as Beatrix sighed "nope." she told her, digging into her pancakes, but as she did, someone rang their doorbell as the three furrowed their brows "who is that?" Beatrix's grandmother asked "I don't know, I wasn't expecting anybody." Beatrix shared, as the doorbell rang again, Beatrix stood up and began walking toward's the front door, and as she did, a women was standing there along with Annabelle.

"Ah, you must be the youngest Black witch, Annabelle told me about you, Beatrix, is it? I'm Pearl. You're the one who opened the tomb." Pearl shared, as Beatrix's mother and grandmother stood up, walking to the door "Winnifred, I've seen you've grown up since the last time I've seen you and you have a daughter, which makes you Cassandra." Pearl pointed out "what is it, you want exactly?" Beatrix's grandmother asked her, as she put her hand on Beatrix's shoulder and moved her away from the door "just wanted to come by and talk. Can we come in?" Pearl asked "if the fangs stay in your mouth yes, if they don't know." Beatrix's grandmother told them.

As Pearl looked behind her and at Annabelle and then back to them "we'll behave." Pearl told them "then come in." Beatrix's grandmother told them as Pearl stepped inside along with Annabelle "your house still looks the same." Pearl mentioned "well, I did put a spell on it so nobody could just come up to it and burn it down. Not exactly a fan of fire unless I'm throwing it>' Beatrix's grandmother shared, as she motioned to the breakfast table "how about you two come join us for breakfast?" she asked them "that would be lovely." Pearl told her, as the five of them turned walking to the kitchen.

They all sat down "we've taken up residence in a farmhouse just out of town. It's suffice for now." Pearl shared, as Beatrix's mom furrowed her brows "I'm sorry but it was implied that there were more than just a few of you at least twenty five? How do you all fit in a farmhouse?" she asked "not all. Some. I imagine that a few have already left town. Others are probably still in the woods or like us, acclimating." Pearl shared "well there is Salem although New Orleans is more welcoming to your kind, extremely welcoming might I add. But I may ask, what did you mean when you said Beatrix let you out?" Beatrix's grandmother asked.

"Um, well some people were talking about seeing a red light before they came back too, some of them thought it was hell fire or just fire, but then I remembered Beatrix was holding her own while the two elders were fighting for power and you were holding back the Bennet witch." Annabelle shared, as Beatrix's eyes went wide "so, what? You told everyone in the tomb about me?" she asked "yeah, Pearl, some of your people aren't exactly are biggest fans." Beatrix's grandmother shared "I know. Which is why I came here myself to share with you two that just like how with the Salvatore brothers, I want peace with you, an alliance." Pearl shared.

As Beatrix's grandmother furrowed her brows "took everyone a few decades but people are starting to realize that Katherine Pierce isn't head honcho anymore, huh? Since she all left you to rot." she shared, as Annabelle chuckled "we only were on Katherine's side because we thought she could help us but clearly as you said we were mistaken." she shared "so, if we create an alliance with you, what is it you want us to do?" Beatrix's mother asked her "stop supplying Damon with the vervain to give to the council members." Pearl shared.

As Beatrix's grandmother laughed "believe me, I hate the council more than anybody because you know being a witch in all, not exactly into forced conformity. And I hate vervain but I also am never a big fan of people telling me what to do, but you know that? So, I'd have to know and have suffice understanding that my family, my lineage would be safe from those of you who aren't as forgiving as you are." she shared.
