019. OH, THE PAIN AND GUILT OF WHAT YOU'VE DONE

Chapter nineteen

"Oh, the pain and guilt of what you've done."

Being in Stefan's head, Beatrix appeared in the woods, looking around her it looked like Mystic Falls and as she turned around she saw Stefan and Damon looking out at John Gilbert and other town members putting vampires into a carriage that had a cage on it "we have to get to the church, they're waiting." John Gilbert then said, as Stefan pointed to the right "circle around that way. I'll distract them." he said, as Damon began heading off "go." Stefan said, as he began walking off to the right, Beatrix followed him "over here! There's another one! Quick! Help me!" Stefan yelled, as he turned running off.

Beatrix didn't move "arm yourselves." John Gilbert told the men as they all began walking off after Stefan, one man stayed behind and as he did, Damon then came up from behind hitting him in the face as he grabbed the mans keys, Stefan came running back "we don't have long." he told him, as the two opened the cage "Katherine." Damon said and when he did, Beatrix's eyes went wide, as she watched Stefan and Damon pull her out of the cage and laid her on the ground, taking the protector off of her mouth and untying her "we're gonna get you out of here." Damon told her, as a horse neighed, Stefan turned his head and as he did, Beatrix looked in that direction, seeing shadows of people coming in the distance.

"Damon, hurry, hurry." Stefan said, as Beatrix watched a man aim a gun at them, her eyes went wide "no, no, no!" she said, as the gunshot rung out, she gasped, turning around and seeing Damon fall to the floor her eyes went wide "no! No!" Stefan voiced, getting up and crouching down to him "why..why are you thinking about this.." Beatrix asked herself, as she watched Damon die not just in front of her but about Stefan, realizing what moment she was in, knowing her own grandmother was gone by this time.

"Shoot him!" someone yelled, as Beatrix turned around eyes wide "what?" she asked, as another gunshot rang out, she screamed, turning and seeing Stefan fall down "no!" she screamed, falling down to her knees, looking at both Stefan and Damon.

Where for Damon and Elena who were on the other side watching her, they watched Beatrix flinch  "no, no, no, no.." she mumbled, as she squinted her eyes, Elena furrowed her brows "what's wrong?" she asked "I don't know, I'm not in his head with her Elena." Damon told her, although he had a pretty good idea of what she could be seeing as the two watched them.

Stefan who was dying, looked up at Beatrix and put his hand on the side of her face "your..your here..how..how are you here?" he asked her "you let me in. Why are you thinking about.." she asked, looking up and around them "this?" she asked, as Stefan's hand fell from her face.

Meanwhile, Damon and Elena stared at them, seeing Beatrix go still once more "it's so hard to see them like this." Elena shared "this was her decision." Damon told her as Elena looked to him "well you didn't disagree." she told him "well, I couldn't have him wandering around chewing on people, while the town was looking for vampires, and she thought a deep dive was a better way then locking him in a cell. She was doing it before I could stop her." Damon shared, as Elena furrowed her brows "it had nothing to do with you actually caring about them? I mean you've been doing nothing but sitting here." Elena shared "you're thing, not mine." Damon told her, as he turned walking out for the first time since she went into his brain, Elena then noticed how Stefan didn't have his ring on his finger even though he was in no state to move, giving her the idea that Damon was looking out for her, as she turned and walked out as well.

And as they did, Beatrix furrowed her brows, as in Stefan's mind she was now standing near a lake in the morning, as she turned around she saw Stefan who had unbuttoned his shirt, showing his very toned chest that was no longer shot, she also noticed the ring on his finger as she quickly turned around feeling like she was staring and as she did, she jumped not expecting to see Emily "of course your here." she said under her breath "Katherine had me make that for you weeks ago." Emily shared as she walked toward's them "where am I?" Stefan asked "the quarry just north of town." Emily shared as she stepped past Beatrix and crouched next to Stefan, as Beatrix turned around to watch them.
