123. MOVING AWAY

Chapter one hundred and twenty three

"Moving away."

The next morning, Beatrix was awake and all healed up, where all she wanted to do was get out of the hospital, as she had gotten out of bed and changed her clothes, she was standing on her own two feet, as Alaric walked in "whoa, whoa, what are you doing?" he asked, quickly walking up to her "good your here. You can sign me out of the hospital." Beatrix shared "what? Beatrix, you just got through major surgery. You just had a C section." Alaric shared.

"And judging by the bag your carrying over your shoulder. You just like I did know after seeing those babies that we need to leave today. I made a promise to you and Jo that I would help protect those babies and you said it yourself that I was they're guardian angel. So no human surgery is gonna stop me from leaving with you." Beatrix shared, as Alaric chuckled "I'll go sign the papers." he told her, turning around and walking out, Beatrix hummed.

Having gotten out of the hospital, Alaric had already packed everything, as the girls were in their carseats in the back, they were driving down the road to Dallas, as Josie and Sabrina were fussy, Beatrix was trying to cheer them up, while being on the phone with Matt "look, I am the worst person to be calling right now about where Rayna and Stefan are!" she voiced "well, he's not taking anyone's calls, and I can't triangulate his cell phone without at least knowing.." Matt shared "Matt, I can't hear you! The babies are crying!" Beatrix voiced.

"I think they need to eat. Are you hungry?" Alaric asked, as Beatrix turned to him "starving. Which means we should stop somewhere before we lose our minds." she shared "Beatrix. Hello?" Matt asked "what? What do you want me to do, Matt?" Beatrix asked "if I can narrow the search, we have a chance, but until I know the general vicinity of either of them, I have nothing to track." Matt shared "I may be able to help you with that." Valerie said "sounds like Valerie's appeared on her magical pink bubble to save the day." Beatrix shared "let me call you back." Matt told her, as Beatrix hung up, she looked at the girls who continued to cry.

Having stopped at a diner, Beatrix and Alaric had ordered their food and as fast it came the two soon were able to get Josie and Sabrina to stop crying, where the two were sitting there in silence afraid if they started talking they would start crying, so instead they were eating their food, the babies started crying "no, no, no. Look, I'm gonna take Sabrina for a little walk. Do you mind watching Josie?" Alaric asked her "of course I will." Beatrix told him, as Alaric stood up, he grabbed the carrier and walked off.

As Beatrix turned to Josie, picking her up out of the carrier, she held her close to her "shh. Shh. It's okay. I got you." she said, looking to her phone, remembering Matt's phone call, she huffed, grabbing her phone, she went into her contacts and called Stefan, putting the phone to her ear, the phone rang and rang but soon someone answered "hello, luv." a voice she hadn't heard in a very long time said, as Beatrix closed her eyes "Klaus." she said, and as she did, Josie started crying again "I know that sound all too well." Klaus shared.

"if your gonna tell me to pick her up, I already am. So if anything made her start crying again it was the voice of the big bad wolf." Beatrix shared, and as she did, Klaus chuckled "speaking of which how am I talking to you right now?" Beatrix asked "by the way, what's your stance on hand me downs? We have a chest that was once owned by Louis XV it's being wasted on my daughter's outgrown onesies. Any interest?" Klaus asked "coming from the person who was just virgin Mary'd into having two kids and has been deemed they're guardian angel I.." Beatrix was saying "yes, that's been abundantly clear by your best friend." Klaus shared.

"Where is he then? Seeing as weeks ago I just pulled him out of that stone along with Damon to make sure they were safe. Because what you said was true, no man or that town will ever be good enough for me so I got out of it. But now Stefan decided to go off and be a hero and he might get pulled back into that stone again. And I'm the only one who can pull him back out. And I nor these babies haven't been able to stop crying, where this entire diner is looking at me like they hate me so if you could for once in your life not be the almighty Klaus Mikaelson and not gloat." Beatrix shared.

"Stefan will be fine." Klaus told her "you don't know that." Beatrix told him "I do. Because I will ensure it." Klaus told her, as Beatrix took a shaky deep breath "so, here you are, with a man you don't love, leaving mystic falls and being a guardian angel to two babies. When I said there was something better out there for you, this was not what I entailed." Klaus shared "well this is me." Beatrix told him, looking down at Josie "holding a sleeping baby in her arms." she told him "well, then, we mustn't wake her. Goodbye, Beatrix." Klaus told her, hanging up, Beatrix brought the phone down.

Having gotten back on the road, the two soon made it to Dallas and to the new house, where that night, Beatrix had put the girls in their cribs and as she did, she held her hands above them and closed her eyes "as I lay them down to sleep, I call upon the angels to come by and bring these baby girls nothing but good dreams and to keep the bad dreams away." she said, opening her eyes, both babies were sound asleep, as she smiled, she turned walking out of the room, she headed downstairs, finding Alaric in the kitchen.

"I put them to sleep and I, um, I came up this thing where I call upon the angels to bring them nothing but good dreams and to keep the bad dreams away. It's not magic or anything. And I also checked and the rest of the furniture is on it's way. And the electricity will be on tomorrow morning. Which all means I can eat." Beatrix shared, grabbing her fork "and if you add scoring this house and actually having the babies, you've gone above and beyond." Alaric shared "that's what I'm here for. I'm not just they're guardian angel. I'm yours too." Beatrix told him, laughing, as she took another bite of her food.
