Chapter forty seven

"Witchy foothold."

Tonight was the night of illuminations, in which Beatrix had volunteered to help Bonnie and Caroline setup, as she stood with them, Beatrix was on top of the latter "so would my dear witch friend like to tell me why my heart almost stopped last night, because I'm sure it wasn't mine or my family's doing seeing as the last thing we would want is to contact the witch who took my soul?" she asked, as Caroline raised her brows "I thought you didn't want to talk about it?" She asked her, as she held the latter, Bonnie handed Beatrix another lantern "I don't! But seeing as I almost died again, I need a little witchy insight." Beatrix shared.

As Bonnie sighed "when I brought Jermey back to life, he was able to start seeing Anna and Vicki so the night that Klaus came, I was trying to figure out how to save Tyler and Matt drowned and I brought him back so he then could see his dead sister, who tricked him into giving her a foot hold here who started doing dirty work for the same witch who took your soul. So when the pain must've stopped, it had to be when I sent Vicki away." she shared, as Caroline's eyes went wide "wait so if you didn't help Matt send Vicki away, Beatrix would be dead?" she asked.

"Yeah, it seems that way." Beatrix told her "that's awful!" Caroline voiced, as she looked to Bonnie "and even more so if that spell didn't also send Anna away." she told her "I wish, all I did was block the magic that was helping Vicki get a physical foothold here. Jermey's still got a direct line to the other side and as long as he wants to see Anna and she wants to see him..she's still here." Bonnie shared, handing Beatrix another lantern "okay, you don't actually think I can resist commenting on that." Caroline told her, as Beatrix chuckled.

"There you commented." Bonnie told her, Caroline scoffed "Bonnie.." she told her "what do you want me to say, Caroline? I went against the balance of nature when I brought Jermey back to life and now I'm paying the consequences." Bonnie shared, as Beatrix turned to her "we want you to rant and tell us that your not okay with it! I mean the rest of us rant to you about our relationship issues now it's your turn." Beatrix shared, as Caroline held her hand out to her "exactly." she said "I'm a thousand times not okay with it. I just don't know what to do about it." Bonnie shared.

As a car drove up to them, the three turned seeing Damon, in which Beatrix walked down the ladder as her, Caroline and Bonnie walked over to him "greetings, blondie, witches. I think you got your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan." Damon shared "what do you mean? Why?" Bonnie asked him "because I'm pretty sure I just got spit roasted by Mason Lockwood's ghost." Damon shared "what?" Bonnie asked him "and why would you think that?" Caroline asked, as Beatrix's eyes went wide "let me guess, chained you to a chair, shoved a hot poker through your chest and dumped candle wax on you?" she asked.

"Yep. But let's just put it off to some good old deja vu." Damon told them, as Caroline looked to Bonnie "I thought you said ghost couldn't physically interact with people." she told her "they can't." Bonnie said "I don't have time for a vengeful Lockwood. When we.." Damon shared, motioning between him and Beatrix "kill someone they're supposed to stay dead." he shared, looking at Bonnie "whatever you screwed up, fix it." he told her, as he drove off, Beatrix looked across the way seeing Matt, she began walking over to him "no, Beatrix!" Caroline voiced, as her and Bonnie ran after her.

"Where's Vicki? Hmm? Cause if she's here, tell her if she comes at me again? I'm gonna have Stefan stake her again." Beatrix told him "I haven't seen Vicki I swear. I sent her back like you told me to." Matt shared, looking at Bonnie "are you sure, because she has just as much reason to not only haunt Damon but try and kill Beatrix again." Bonnie shared "she's gone, guys. If she was here, I'd know." Matt shared "why do you think it's Vicki and not Mason?" Caroline asked Bonnie "because if any ghosts other then Vicki Donovan has a physical foothold on our side..then that means Damon is right, and something has gone really, really wrong." Bonnie shared.
