101. IT'S ALL MY FAULT

Chapter one hundred and one

"It's all my fault." 

Having found her strength again, Beatrix had made it off the gemini coven property and to a car, hot wiring it, she began driving off, heading back toward's mystic falls, knowing with the ascendant and her blood, possibly even used the magic he took her from her when he stabbed her and found the spell, he had everything he needed to get out of there and kill everyone, and as she was speeding down the highway, her pager began ringing, as she huffed, reaching into her pocket.

She pulled out the pager and saw the number for the Salvatore boarding house on her page, her eyes went wide, as she quickly pulled off onto the nearest exit, parking the car in front of the nearest payphone, she got out of the car and ran over to it, punching the number in, she put the phone to her ear "Kai, if you so much as hurt.." Damon shared "it's too late for that." Beatrix told him "Beatrix?" Elena asked "Elena?" Beatrix asked, furrowing her brows "yes! It's me. I'm here. I'm at the Salvatore house in..in 1994." Elena shared "Elena I don't need to be rude but I need you to put Damon back on the phone." Beatrix told her.

"What? Why?" Elena asked her "Elena, please!" Beatrix begged her "Beatrix?" Damon asked her, as Beatrix took a deep breath "I don't know what brought you back here but you shouldn't have come." she shared "I'm here to get you. You hear me?" Damon asked her, as Beatrix shook her head "he killed me Damon. Back in 1994, I was a thirteen year old girl trying to save her family and because I was using my magic to hide who he was searching for he killed me. And then he took me back to that house, found the same knife he had stabbed me with that my best friend had hid and stabbed me in the heart with it again." she shared, taking a deep breath.

"Forcing my memories of that night back and using his magic to search in my mind for the spell along with taking my blood, which means he had everything to get out and undoubtedly did..." she shared, her voice breaking "which means everything I did to try and stop him both times doesn't..doesn't mean anything and he's gonna kill them all." she shared "Beatrix.." Damon told her "just like I killed my mother and grandmother. Just like I killed my entire coven." Beatrix told him "no, Beatrix it wasn't on you." Damon told her.

"It's all my fault. It's all my fault! Just like Bonnie dying was my fault. Everything's my fault!" Beatrix voiced, sobbing "no, no! Beatrix, tell me where you are! I don't care how far or how long it takes I will find you!" Damon voiced "I..I have to go..I have to go.." Beatrix told him "don't you hang up the phone, Beatrix!" Damon yelled, as Beatrix put the phone down, her legs gave out on her, as she fell to the ground crying.

And back in the real world, Jo was with Alaric, driving toward's mystic falls "my best friend who died in front of me that night supposedly survived and doesn't remember me because she ended up growing up with different people." she shared "well, coming back to life seems to be the Black witches thing although in this case it seems to be more of not just being resurrected but being reborn situation." Alaric shared.

As Jo shook her head "I just can't believe she's alive. Stuck back in that prison with that psycho. She protected Lucas and Olivia that night. Hell she protected me by taking a baseball bat to the back of his head. But he then attacked her with the same knife he did me and what could I do? Nothing. All I could do was watch as she screamed in pain, telling me to let her go. I told her no. Because what kind of person would ever let their best friend, her sister go? And I watched him kill her, stabbing her right through the heart. Kept that with me knowing if I ever saw him again, I wouldn't be scared just like she wasn't. She just wanted us all to be safe and if she's stuck in their with him she's probably doing the same thing even if she doesn't remember it. She'll let him kill her before he can escape." she shared, driving across the border.

All the compulsion Damon had done to Alaric had worn off, where that night, Alaric went and found him at the cemetery, as Damon walked up to him "so Jo drove me across the border. I told her she was crazy, that you'd never compel me." Alaric shared "look, Ric." Damon told him, as Alaric punched him in the face, Damon then wiped his nose "we had to get Beatrix back." Damon shared "getting Beatrix back was never off the table. What was off the table was compelling me to steal from my girlfriend when we had promised her we'd keep her brother locked away." Alaric shared.

"Yeah, I know." Damon told him "do you? Because according to Jo who happens to be Beatrix's best friend before anyone! Knows that she would rather die then set Kai free! So if she was even here she would've never agreed to this plan! So where is he..Kai?" Alaric asked "he's out, but it's not our fa.." Damon told him, as Alaric punched him again and turned around walking off.

Back in the prison world, Beatrix had made it back to mystic falls and as she did, she found a note from Damon and as she did, she took it and threw it into the fireplace, watching it burn, just like everything else in her life seemed to do, where she always seemed to be the only one standing.
