Y/n had been having one of those days where everything seemed to go wrong. From spilling coffee on her favorite blouse in the morning to getting caught in a sudden downpour without an umbrella, it felt like the universe was conspiring against her. By the time she reached her lunch break, she was ready for a moment of peace.

Tyler, her ever-energetic and upbeat friend, noticed her gloomy demeanor as soon as she walked into the break room. He could always tell when Y/n wasn't herself, and today was no exception.

"Hey, Y/n," Tyler greeted her with a concerned smile. "Rough day?"

Y/n let out a sigh and nodded, slumping into a chair at the table. "You have no idea. It's like everything that could go wrong, did."

Tyler's face softened. "I'm sorry to hear that. How about a little pick-me-up?"

Before Y/n could respond, Tyler dashed over to the counter where a box of donuts had been left from a morning meeting. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he grabbed a donut and, with a goofy grin, balanced it on his forehead.

Y/n couldn't help but laugh despite herself. She watched as Tyler balanced another donut on his nose, then one on each cheek. Soon, he had donuts precariously perched all over his face, each one causing Y/n to giggle harder.

"Ta-da!" Tyler announced dramatically, posing with a face full of donuts. "It's the latest fashion trend: donut facial accessories!"

Y/n laughed until tears pricked her eyes, the stress of the day momentarily forgotten. Tyler's silliness and willingness to be ridiculous just to make her smile warmed her heart.

"You're such a goofball, Tyler," Y/n managed to say between giggles.

Tyler grinned proudly, donuts still adorning his face like a bizarre crown. "Anything to turn that frown upside down."

Y/n shook her head, still chuckling, but feeling lighter than she had all day. "Thanks, Tyler. I really needed that."

"Anytime, Y/n," Tyler replied with a wink. "Now, let's see if we can find some coffee to go with those donuts. My treat!"

As they walked out of the break room together, Y/n couldn't help but feel grateful for friends like Tyler who knew just how to brighten her day, even if it meant wearing donuts on his face.
