9:00 PM, Below Bellwood Motors

An emerald glow loomed over the command center, illuminating the sextet that stood under them. Faint hums emerged from the fluorescent lighting, their buzzing the only defense against the deafening quiet. From the silence a voice emerged, inquisitive in its tone.

Kevin: So let me get this straight, while we've been running around chasing her goons, our big bad's been getting stronger?

Jen: Pretty much. The guy said she's been using these Leylines to gather Mana.

Back propped against a desk, Jen faced the seated trio, her hands shielded by leather. Her emerald orbs had a heaviness to them, irises flecked with concern. To the side stood her lover, features equally weighted.

Gwen: Leylines?

Hope: They're Mana hotspots, places where Earth is closest to...to...Mana builds up exponentially there, and assuming she's been harvesting for weeks...

Y/N: She's got more than enough to perform the ritual.

Kaelin: Okay, so where are they?

Hope: Huh?

Kaelin: The Leylines? Where are they? We go there; we stop them.

Kevin: Hey, dumbass, did you not just hear the part about them already having what they need? There's no point. Hell, they've probably already packed up by now.

Y/N: No, there's no way Kasey would ever do that. She doesn't just stop at her quota; she has to go beyond it. It's like it's not enough for her.

Emerald irises lock onto Hope's form, Gwen's lips poised to speak. A shimmering sheet of purple spreads into her vision, slaying the thought before it even reached her tongue.

Hope: Way ahead of you, Gwennie.

Misty in composition, the ethereal map hovered above the sorceress' palm. Points sprang up across the map like boils, infesting the city's outskirts with pulsing red blotches.

Hope: These are our targets.

Kevin: I thought you said these were Leylines.

Hope: The dots are where the lines--Look, I didn't coin the term.

Jen: Does it even matter? Look, there's six points and there's six of us, so we'll split up. Each of us will take a point and shut down the collection.

Gwen: Are you sure that's a good idea? There's obviously going to be people there guarding them and none of us have been able to take on a Talisman user by ourselves.

Jen: I know, but there aren't any other options. Having the whole team go after one point would be stupid, and going in pairs or trios would also be too slow. Every second we waste is another that they could be getting more Mana. This is the only way. We have to take them all down tonight

A soft sigh escaped from her cousin's throat, dragging with it her wavering expression.

Gwen: Guess this just means we have to be more careful.

For the first time that night, the weight lessened. Lips quirked up into a weary grin, yet her warmth still radiated from it. Picking herself up off the desk, the leader reached for the projection, tracing the warts that dotted the mist.

Jen: All right, Y/N, you take the forest; Gwen you're on the zoo; Kevin, Grover's Mill; Hope, the old lumber yard; Kaelin you're at Lancelot Lake Estates; and I'll be on the docks.

Rising from the desk, Y/N turns and heads towards the elevator.

Y/N: Let's get moving, people, we're burning moonlight.
