Our story begins with Gwen picking up and throwing away a sock in Jen's room. We zoom out, revealing Jen sitting on her desk chair while you sat on her bed.

Jen: Tell us about this message already, Gwen. We've got homework.

Gwen: Let's just wait for Kevin. Then I don't have to tell it twice.

Y/N: Was it an e-mail? Just let us read it.

Gwen turned around to quickly correct you before going back to whatever it was, she was doing. 

Gwen: A telepathic Sos sent through my energy field. Oh look, a dollhouse.

She pulled out a Sumo Slammers playset, causing Jen to leap from her chair to get her to put it away.

Jen: It's not a dollhouse! It's Sumo Slammers battle ring!

Gwen looked back at her cousin before giving her a cheeky response. 

Gwen: With dolls in it.

Jen: Action figures! They're not dolls. They're collectibles. 

Gwen: They look like dolls to--aah!

Gwen stood up to carry over the playset when suddenly a migraine hit her. Jen checked to see if she was okay, completely ignoring the playset that broke upon making contact with the ground.

Jen: You okay?

Gwen's eyes would then open, now with a pink glow that overlayed her regular eyes. 

Gwen: Something coming in. 

A purple dot expanded in the center of the room before displaying a hologram of Helen.

Helen: Can you hear me, Gwen? Did you find Jen or Y/N? We need help!

Y/N/Jen: Helen?

You got off of the bed upon seeing the Kineceleran girl, things had just started to get interesting. Kevin would then walk in at that same moment, instantly noticing the hologram.

Kevin: Holograms? It's never like I come over and you're just playing video games or something.

Helen: I can't hear you.

Y/N: Helen, I'm right here!

Helen: You guys, if you're getting this message, it's important. Please help us!

Gwen: Hard to focus...can't keep connection...

Helen: There is terrible danger. We need help desperately. It's a matter of life and death! Please!

Gwen lost the connection at the end of the exclamation; the one-way link had cost so much mana that she nearly passed out. Kevin caught her, making sure that she was okay.

Kevin: You okay?

Gwen: Yeah. Anyways I'm doing better than those Plumber kids. 

Kevin: What did they expect going into the Null Void? Not like we didn't warn them.

Y/N: Lasted longer than I expected.

Gwen: We have to go get them out.

Kevin: You're not going in there! I've been there. It's--

Unsurprisingly, Kevin was immediately against the thought of Gwen going back into the Null Void seeing as he spent 5 years in there. She however, had other ideas. Believing she could handle the Null Void; Gwen would make a rebuttal only for you to stop her. 

Gwen: I can handle it.

Y/N: No, you can't. There's too much riding on us being here. 

Jen: You heard her, they need help.
