A/N: This is for you: HF-Love, Tidam4Life, Rhitchco, and of course BjOaks! I hope y'all enjoy this :P
And by the way, this video has absolutely nothing to do with this chapter. I just ran across this (yes, I know it's an old video) and Adam's bit around 1:45/1:46 makes my legs go wobbly. Enjoy ;)
The tour had hit Minnesota and they were performing at the State Fair. Amarelle was still off the tour after a month of being over in Italy with a string of new clients and photography engagements. She was beginning to wonder how they were going to make this work with her having to leave every so often for her work. She loved what she did, but she loved seeing the boys do what they did as well.
Adam had been very anxious when he heard they would be playing the Minnesota State Fair. He wanted to see his little girl, and his parents, but Ericha had not been answering his calls. His mother promised she'd pick up Cerise for the show and that they'd see one another before he left. The beatboxer still felt this over-whelming anxiety come over him and he didn't know why or how to rid himself of it. This was not a feeling he liked!
Tim was doing his best to keep Adam's mind off whatever was bothering him. The bass man figured it was anxiety at seeing Ericha and excitement at seeing his little girl. Tim had been thinking about their family a lot lately. Would Adam want more children? Would Amarelle want children? She was much younger than them and her career was taking off. Would having kids stifle her career? If they did have kids, who would take care of them while they were working? They surely couldn't lay this burden all on their families. Tim didn't want to lay it all on Ama, either, since they loved her being on the road with them.
Kelsey had brought Lydia along with Rob's parents to see the group and spend some time together. The happy family were walking around playing games and enjoying being together. Chance and Austin were taking in some rides and a few of the games while they could before they had to get to their sound checks. They came upon one of the "throw a baseball at the stacked bottles and win a prize" games. Chance grinned at his husband before taking out his wallet.
Austin stood back and watched as Chance threw all three balls, one after the other, and didn't knock the bottles down. Chance, however, knew something Austin didn't. He handed more money to the fair attendant and prepared himself for throwing the balls. The first ball hit the first few bottles down. The second ball knocked all but two of the bottles down. The attendant was looking at Chance curiously. The Alabama boy looked back at his husband and winked. His third, and final, ball knocked the final bottles down.
"Congratulations, Sir! You can pick anything from this row." The attendant told Chance who had looked back over at his husband.
"What do you want?" Chance had turned towards Austin.
"You did all the work. Get whatever you want." Austin was looking at the different stuffed animals.
'How childish is it to want one as a grown man?' he thought, staring at a cute little stuffed Husky pup. Chance saw what his husband was looking at and then pointed to it.
"I'll take that." Chance grinned.
"Here you go, Sir. Have a wonderful day!" The attendant smiled, clearly not happy that someone had actually won.
"Here YOU go sweetie. Silly or not, I won it just for you!" Chance kissed Austin's cheek as he handed the stuffed puppy over.
Austin was over the moon that Chance had won and that he'd gotten the cute little stuffed puppy for him. It may be childish, but it was still a sweet gesture! Chance could see how the simple gesture made his husband happy. His father had always said it was the little things in life that people cherished. They continued walking around taking in more rides.
