Chapter 17: Reverse The Genjutsu -Sakura and Lee Attack!

Enough about that, but here is the next chapter! THIS IS PACKED WITH ACTION FINALLY! I'd appreciate your feedback on it cause I'm not too familiar with the action writing style but I did my best.

Chapter 17: Reverse The Genjutsu —Sakura and Lee Attack

"All right, Sakura," Naruto cracked his fists and readied himself into position. "I don't wanna do this, but if it's to protect Nia, then I've got no choice but to fight you. Imma get you out of that damn genjutsu and get you back to your senses."

"As if you can lay your hands on me, Naruto," The girl scoffed and rested her hands on her hips. "We all know you don't got the heart to do it. Besides... even if you did, let's not forget that I make you tremble in fear."

"No offense, Sakura, but when it comes to dire situations like this, I'm not afraid of anyone, ya know! I gotta protect this village no matter what and everyone in it! Not even you will stop me from doing that! I'm gonna make you turn back the way you were in no time so don't worry."

Behind him, Nia curled her fist up and rested it on her heart. In the end, she just couldn't argue any further after the blonde's passionate plea for her not to get herself involved with the shuffle. Though she wanted to fight, she ultimately understood the genin's concerns. However, as she stood there, she felt deeply that she had something to prove again just mere moments later.

Her mind raced about what truly was her decision. She knew she didn't want him to worry about her, but at the same time, she wanted to show that she was capable of standing her ground. She didn't want to be this damsel in distress all the time. Sure, back when she first met him, she was just a complete amateur who couldn't possibly understand ninjutsu too well and had to rely on taijutsu and one simple genjutsu. She was in need of having Jiraiya and Naruto around to make sure she was safe as she was still learning to improve her techniques and channeling her chakra.

By no means was she as powerful as most of the ninja in the Leaf, but she had improved greatly over the past year and a half. Combined with her quick thinking and rather resourceful use of the environment around her, she believed she could just possibly win despite not being the powerhouse that was Sakura Haruno.

Finally, Sakura lunged toward Naruto with superb speed. When she did, Nia's mind was made up as she apologetically shoved the genin to the side, dropped into a crouch directly beneath Sakura's first punch and then tried to deliver an uppercut in retaliation, but Sakura had already lurched backwards on an impossibly flexible spine. Her leg came up and tried to slam down on Nia who dodged it at the last second. Sakura's blow still landed on the ground, however, and Nia and Naruto was caught up in the flying debris that erupted from the shattered dirt.

With this, the pink-haired girl decided to focus on her fellow kunoichi for an intense battle.

Despite the unsteady quaking ground beneath her feet, Nia shifted her momentum to drive a counterattack to Sakura's torso while Naruto quickly moved out of the way and landed to safer ground as Nia's nimble, pink haired opponent bent backwards to evade the girl's fist and slammed her foot into Nia's exposed chest, sending her flying through a large tree.
