Chapter 70: Naruto's Promise To Nia

A/N - Hey guys! I tried to get out a chapter before it was September. Chapter 70: Naruto's Promise To Nia

"Daddy's so glad you're safe... Naruta... Nisaki..." Naruto was on his knees, holding Nia's very slightly bulging stomach in his hands as his gaze was fixated on it. "You don't have to worry now. Daddy defeated the bad guy and now you're safe in this village with mommy, ya know?"

"Oh Naruto..." Nia had a soft smile on her features as she looked down at him.

The two were a little outside the village gates in the forest over by a tree.

Naruto gave a kiss to each side of Nia's stomach.

"Daddy and mommy love you both very, very much," He told the unborn twins. "We're gonna do everything in our power to make sure you're born in a peaceful world."

He would then stand up and peck Nia on the lips, next holding her in his arms.

"I love you so much, Nia," He spoke in a soft tone.

Nia reddened and wrapped her arms around him also, burying her face in his chest.

"I love you too, Naruto. I'm really excited to be pregnant with our babies," She replied.

"I'm so happy you're here with me. I don't know what I would've done if you were to have stayed dead forever, sweetie..."

"I'm glad we get to have this special chance to be with one another one more time," Nia pulled away and gazed the genin in the eyes.

The full moon illuminated his blue eyes and made them even more spectacular for Nia to look at.

Her face reddened and soon she found herself unable to gaze into them any longer.

"Hm?" Naruto noticed this and stroked her cheek. "Sweetie, what's wrong?"

Nia briefly looked at him before flickering her eyes away again.

"Sweetheart..." Naruto cupped her chin and turned her head toward him, only for the girl to look down instead.

He then let out a gentle sigh.

"Nia... look at your hero. He wants to see your eyes."

"I... I can't," The girl turned her head again.

"Why not, beautiful?"

This only made Nia's face burn more.

"Because..." She mumbled.

"Because what?" Naruto urged.

"They're gorgeous..."

"Huh? What's gorgeous?"

"Those..." She looked into his eyes momentarily before averting her gaze for what seemed like the millionth time.

"What?" Naruto was still confused.

"Your eyes..." Nia revealed, still too shy to look at him.

"My eyes?"

Nia nodded and pressed her flushed face in the blond's chest.
