Chapter 63: An Expected Surprise

A/N - Hey guys 😃 how are ya? Today we're here with a new chapter! So with this, we've OFFICIALLY started following the Naruto storyline. I'll try to just summarize the stuff we see in the anime but add a few things in the chapter that clearly never happened in the show.

Chapter 63: An Expected Surprise

Naruto beamed at Nia as he sat down on the chair to her right side and took her hand. They squeeze each other's hand in anticipation as Tsunade set up the ultrasound machine.

"Excited, sweetie?" Naruto breathed and Nia nodded frantically, biting on her lip to keep the emotion in.

This would be their first ultrasound.

"Okay, Nia," The blonde woman smiled warmly at the girl one she finished setting the machine up. "Could you please lie back and lift up your shirt so I can see your stomach?"

Nia nodded, layed back and lifted up her shirt so her small bulge would be in view. Tsunade fiddled around with the transducer and put a special gel on it. She placed it on her stomach and Nia squealed at the touch. It was so cold!

"Are you alright, Nia?" Naruto wondered, panicking a little.

The Hokage looked at Nia with a shocked and apologetic expression.

Nia only giggled. "Yes, I'm fine. It's just cold. Please, carry on."

The genin squeezed her hand and smiled in relief.

Tsunade switched the screen on and the inside of Nia's stomach appeared on screen. Naruto and her watched the screen intently, waiting impatiently. Tsunade watched, too, and moved the transducer around the girl's stomach, spreading the gel around. It felt so cold and strange. It started to warm up, though, and Nia relax.

Suddenly, a shape appeared on the screen and they made out a head and body. It really was inside her!

"AH! THERE IT IS!" Naruto pushed up out of his chair and pointed at the screen. "NIA, LOOK! THERE'S OUR BABY, YA KNOW!"

Nia only smiled and replied, "Yes, I see. Oh Naruto, look how big our baby already is."

Naruto kissed her hand.

"It looks like..." Tsunade started, moving the transducer around. Shee smiled and said, "You guys have a baby girl. Congratulations."

"Oh!" Nia breathed and looked at the ninja.

He beamed a grin at her and kissed her lips.

"She looks in very healthy condition," The Hokage added. The couple's and eyes widened. "Can you see her little heart thumping?"

"Yes. Oh, it's so cute." Nia shared.

"Wow," Naruto grinned sheepishly before he kissed Nia again.

"Hang on..." Tsunade said and the happy couple both break from their kiss to look at her.

They watched the screen, studying its shape. The shape looked odd now, not really a baby anymore. It almost looked like an alien and their hearts sunk for a moment. But then the Hokage moved the transducer around and the baby came more into form.

There was another sac.

Tsunade grinned.

"Ah...there she is." She turned to the expecting couple's confused expressions and chuckles. "Congratulations. You guys have not one, but two baby girls."
