Chapter 60: Naruto and Nia ❤️

"Nia..." Naruto's eyes quivered as he caught sight of the girl standing before him with her arms wrapped around his midsection.

"Uzumaki..." She whimpered, tears forming in her eyes as the two gazed into one another's eyes.

Slowly, the blond turned around to face her and before Nia could get the chance to say anything, Naruto wrapped his arms around her; squeezing her as tight as he could to him.

"NIA!"

A fresh set of tears spilled out of his already reddened, puffy eyes.

"This can't be real! Are you really in my arms right now?!"

"Yes, baby," The girl was just as emotional, resting the profile of her face against his chest. "It's really me."

"B-But how? You're... you died, sweetheart!"

'It was because of your father...' Nia thought to herself. 'Originally, he had put some of his and your mother's chakra into you so that one day he'd get the chance to meet you in this astral plane sorta thing. He shared some of his chakra with me and now I'm able to see you just one more time before I really have to move on into the next life... I'm just sad that he told me not to tell you about this cause he wants to see your reaction for when you do get to meet him...'

"I... can't tell you," The girl said as she looked up at the genin. "Just know that the time I'm spending with you right now is very limited. I'm only a spirit, baby..."

"Why you..." Nine Tails growled. "I was almost set free! Why'd you have to show up?! This was all Minato's doing, wasn't it?!"

"M-Minato? Who's that?" Naruto questioned.

Nia grabbed his hand and warmly smiled at him.

"That fox is ruining our moment. Let's go somewhere more peaceful," She said as the scenery then changed around them.

It was pink and white everywhere. Sparkles decorated the area. The two were standing in what seemed to be an astral plane.

"Kuh!" Naruto collapsed to a knee as his emotions overtook him. "I can't... I can't take this..."

He was holding onto the girl's hand and squeezed it.

"Nia, I can't go on without you. I'd rather die with you than to... kuh... than to... kuh..."

"Naruto..." The girl gazed at him with sadness in her eyes.

"We were supposed to... be together forever. We were supposed to spend the rest of our lives together, sweetie!"

"I wanted... to spend the rest of my life with you too... I truly did," The girl replied, tears filling her eyes as she watched the genin drown in his despair.

"Kuh... Kuh..." The blond only sobbed with his forehead on her hand while his shoulders heaved.

"Baby... I'm so... sorry," Nia apologized. "I never wanted... any of this to occur. I tried my best to escape, I tried my best to defend myself, but... but..."

"It's my fault..." Naruto whimpered. " I should've never EVER had left you alone with just a clone to watch over you! I should've stayed with you! I should've stayed with you and protected you! I should've never went chasing after Sasuke and this whole thing wouldn't have had happened!"
