I've been drinking since I finally decided to get out of bed around 1 PM. Thank goodness we didn't finish all of the liquor while Gage and Jordan were here! I know I have to take it slow if I want to party properly to bring in the New Year tonight, but that doesn't mean I'm not feeling good as hell right now! Despite having Ty stick around as a means not to insult Mama G's Christmas present and to keep up the facade for her, I'm not even bothered! I went to sleep last night thinking these next two days would be hell.

"I expected a whole glam squad here for you, I'm not going to lie," Evelyn says with a laugh as she brushes mascara onto her bottom lashes. "Is this really what being a celebrity is? Doing your own make up?"

I laugh with her but regret it after messing up the cat eye I've been attempting for 10 whole minutes. "That's really just when it's work related," I say, grabbing a make up wipe and wiping the failed attempt from my eye. "I'm still just a normal person, you know. Well, you'll see!"

Evelyn starts lining her own eyes, a darker and much more dramatic look than my own. She's never really been good at makeup in my opinion, but to each their own! Her style has always been a lot darker and emo than mine; She always said it was good to scare away Dane's customers.

"I guess you really are!" she exclaims before we both grow too focused to continue for a few moments.

Evelyn finishes before me. Her heavy smoked liner is a much easier feat than the technical and precise line I chose for myself. Once done, she watches me through the mirror. Even through my peripherals I can see that she has something to say. After a few moments she clears her throat. "So what was up with last night?" she asks, trying to seem nonchalant. It doesn't quite work out like that; I'm sure she's been waiting for the right time to ask about it. "It sounded like you have a lot going on... You slept with Gage Robson? While dating Tyler? Jena... what? How could you even think about doing that?"

Oh god. I was hoping she wouldn't bring that up but I knew she would given the opportunity. Evelyn has always been nosy, I'm certain she has a lot of questions if she heard everything Ty said last night.

So much for feeling good as hell; I'm sure this conversation would set me off. The only thing keeping it from escalating right now is the fact that Ty stepped out for a while. I can't imagine how it'd go if he was still lurking around in the suite somewhere, able to hear us.

"Well, shit happens..." I sigh as I finish up my eyeliner and begin rummaging through my make up bag for my Velvet Teddy lipstick. "I... wasn't myself. But the me that I was did think it was Tyler, for what it's worth!"

I try to keep the conversation light, but I know there's no point in lying about it. She obviously heard everything.

Evelyn flattens her brows before responding, her eyes intent on watching me through the mirror as I put my lipstick on. "It doesn't seem like it's worth that much..." she says under her breath, but loud enough for me to hear. She clears her throat. "Didn't you go fuck Rob or something yesterday too? Are you and Tyler like... not happy? Why do you keep cheating on him? You two look so happy and put together in the media! Nothing like what you had with Dane!"

It's times like these when Evelyn would act as a kind of birth control for me. Her incessant questioning is reminiscent to that of a toddler and I've never really had the patience for it.

"I didn't have sex with Rob," I sneer, pausing for a moment to fix the line on my lipstick before continuing. "I went to check on him and give him updates about the baby, is that so terrible? Why does that have to mean me and Ty are unhappy?"

Evelyn laughs but it's more condescending than anything. "So you told him that only one of them survived?" she asks, crossing her arms over her chest.

I can feel myself starting to grow agitated. She's like... two snide comments away from me calling it quits on bringing her across the country into Hayden's life. "Why the hell are you interrogating me, Evelyn?" I snap, throwing my MAC lipstick onto the bathroom counter harder than I intended and turning to face her. "It's none of your business, okay?"

Evelyn tries to hide the smirk on her face but fails. She pushes herself from the counter and goes to rummage through the bag she packed for herself at Dane's apartment yesterday. "I just thought you were getting your shit together for the Golds, damn!" she exclaims with a snicker I'm sure I wasn't supposed to hear. I have to hold back from calling her out on it; I can't stand her attitude anymore. It was one thing when it was directed at other people, but me? I can't fucking take it.

"Getting my shit together?" I scoff after a moment, words bubbling deep inside of me and finding their way to my mouth. "Rob told me you're still using, Ev! As recent as yesterday morning! My shit is together! I'm not poking holes in my damned veins to get a little high! That shit isn't coming to California with us either- so if you can't cut it cold turkey you better rethink your request, kiddo!"

Evelyn's jaw falls open for a moment but an amused look fills her face right after. She shifts her weight to one leg and crosses her arms over her chest. "Aren't you so high and mighty now?" she asks raising her brow at me. "You're right! You're right, Jena. I don't have my shit together! I don't think fucking everybody and their brothers, literally, to get a little high qualifies for having your life together though. And remember... I saved you and your daughters before your decision to present yourself to my brother while 6 months pregnant with his best friend's kid got one of them killed. You owe me."

I'm done.

Evelyn used to be my best friend. We used to go through and do everything together when she was first brought around. She looked up to, no- admired me! The only fucking reason I was keeping up my end of taking her to California was because of that Evelyn- not whatever the fuck monster she's turned into! As far as I'm concerned, I owe her nothing!

"Whatever you did, Ev, was just paying me back for almost having me murdered so you could get your next fix," I tell her, my voice cold and emotionless despite all of the voices raging through my mind. "You sold me out to Dane so you could do the same shit you're doing now! I don't have to do shit for you! And you know what? I won't! I want you out. I want you to leave. Now. I'm not dealing with this."
