Golden Hands (Midas X Reader)

Chapter 28: Nightmare

The door swung open and standing there was Shadow Midas with a gun pointing at us. He got ready to pull the trigger when I ducked down and charged at his knees. I knocked him over, but Shadow Midas was able to grab me. He hit me in the face and stood up holding me with his arm around my arms. He was holding the gun to the side of my head.

"You don't have to do this. She didn't do anything you want me so kill me" Midas begged.
"Killing her will cause you more pain" Shadow Midas grunted.

He tightened his grip around me making it hard to move at all.

"Please" Midas said getting tears in his eyes.
"Fine" Shadow Midas said shooting Midas in the head.

Midas fell to the ground, lifeless. Shadow Midas let go of me and started to leave. I ran over to Midas's lifeless body crying. I grabbed his pistol from his holster and ran after Shadow Midas. He was running down the hallway and I ran after him holding the pistol up aiming. When I was aiming at the back if his head I shot causing Shadow Midas to drop dead.

Midas' POV
I woke up to y/n laying next to me screaming.

"Y/n! Y/n what's wrong?!"

She kept screaming and crying.

"Y/n, it's okay, wake up"

She stood up and walked out into the hallway and walked back into the room she went and sat on the floor and started turning the floor and everything into solid rose gold.

"Midas, please dont leave me, nooo" she said in her sleep.
"Y/n I'm right here I'm not leaving you"

I started shaking her lightly to wake her up. She then sat straight up panting.

Y/n POV
I ran back to where Midas was laying and started sobbing.

"Midas, please don't leave me, nooo." I cried out.

Then the next I know I was sitting on my floor with Midas looking at me extremely worried. I immediately hugged him and started crying.

"I- I thought you were dead" I sobbed as I hugged him even tighter.
"No, I'm right here I'm not leaving you" Midas whispered.

We sat there hugging until I had finally calmed down. I looked around and realised my whole entire room and everything in it had turned solid rose gold. Midas saw me looking around shocked.

"Would you mind telling me what you dreamed about, darling?" Midas asked.
"I had a dream where Shadow Midas was holding me with a gun up to my head. Then you begged him to take your life instead of mine and he shot you in the head and you died. Then I took one of your pistols and killed him. I then ran back to you and begged for you not to leave even though I knew you were dead" I explained.

Midas just grabbed me and hugged me even tighter.

"Dont worry about you're room I'll have everything replaced by tonight and back to normal" he explained.
I nodded my head scared that if I did that in my sleep that I might do something worse one day.

Midas grabbed me again and started hugging me. We sat there hugging for a couple minutes before we left to go to Midas' room. We got ready and headed for the lounge room.

On our way there we passed my room and saw that my door and part of the wall around it was rose gold.

When we got there I saw Skye, Maya, TNTina, and Bomb all sitting together. They looked over at me and ran over to Midas and I.

"What happened, we saw your room" Maya asked.
"Terrible dream that felt real" I explained.
"What was it about?" Skye asked.
"Let me get something to eat then I'll explain" I told them as they all nodded their heads and say back down.

I got a bagel with some cream cheese and went to sit down. I ate my bagel and then explained to them the exact same thing I explained to Midas. They all looked at me and gave me a hug.

I got up and went to Midas'office to help him. Whenever I got to his office he wasn't in there. I decided to just go back to the lounge room and hang out with the girls for a while. We talked about the pool that was being built downstairs in the training room. We also talked about exercising everyday next week on something different once the pool was finished. Monday was swimming, Tuesday was weight lifting,  Wednesday was running, Thursday was swimming, Friday was aiming and shooting, then Saturday was parkour.
Today was Friday so we had a few days before we started our training week.

I decided to go look for Midas again. I started by looking in his office, wasn't there. I checked his bedroom, also wasn't there. I checked around the whole building and didn't  see him anywhere. I went down by the vault and walked over to the henchmen.

"Have you seen Midas?"
"No ma'am"

I turned around and went into the lobby and asked other henchmen. They all said they saw him walk into his bedroom, but I didnt see him in there. I decided to go into his room and look again, but I still didn't see him. Then I looked over at a shelf and saw the shelf was pulled away from the wall. I walked over to the shelf to see a door behind it. I opened the door and peaked in to see a large flight of stairs. I could hear Midas, but what was this place? I heard footsteps getting louder so I closed the door and ran out of the room. I went to his office and sat down to wait for him. He came in and sat down looking at me.

"Hello, love" he said.
"Hey" I replied.

He looked at me confused and just went to work.
