Chapter 56: Hardworking Day, Tired Night

We started nearing Retail Row and slowly began lowering. We landed behind NOMS and walked over to Tacos. It was a small place, but they served very good Tacos.

We walked inside and ordered some Tacos. We then went and sat down at a table. A few minutes went by and they served us our Tacos.

"Thank you" I told the waiter with a smile.
"My pleasure ma'am" he replied with a smile as well.

Midas and I began eating our tacos. It didn't take us long to finish them since we were pretty hungry. When we did finish we sat there and began talking.

"These are still my favorite tacos" I told him.
"They are very good, but I prefer yours" Midas smirked.
"Of course you do" I smiled.
"Is that a bad thing?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"No, it just means you like my cooking" I replied.

Midas looked at his watch and stood up holding his hand out for me. I grabbed it and stood up.

"We need to head home" he said.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"2:00" he replied.
"Oh"

Midas pulled out a 50 dollar bill and set it on the table as a tip. We then walked out and headed to the helicopter. We hopped in and flew back to the Agency.

When we got there Midas and I went to his office. We sat down in our chairs and he began typing away on his computer. I opened my laptop and looked over at him.

"What can I help with?" I asked.
"You can help with signing papers again" he said closing my laptop and handing me the stamp of his signature.
"Okay, what papers?" I asked.
"Those" he said pointing to 3 large piles of paper on the floor.
"Oh, okay" I said as I went and sat next to them.
"You don't have to sit on the floor, doll" he told me.
"I know, but it's easier this way" I replied.

He then went back to typing and I began reading through the papers. Stamping the ones he approved and setting the ones he doesn't approve to the side.

It had been about 2 hours and we had finally finished for the day. We only had about 2 hours until it was time for dinner.

"What do you want to do to pass the time?" Midas asked as he took his glasses off and set them on his desk.
"We could go enjoy the time outside" I suggested.
"Then let's go" he once again held this arm out for me which I held with mine.

We walked out of his office and went downstairs to the main lobby. We walked outside to the front of the Agency and sat down on a bench. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I leaned my head against his shoulder. We just sat there looking off towards Frenzy Farm.

After a while of sitting in silence and enjoying the warm yet cool breeze Midas checked his watch. I looked at his watch as well which read 6:00.

We stood up and headed to the lounge room. We saw everyone already sitting and eating when we got in there. We sat in our seats and began eating as well.

"...and as you all were training Meow tried showing off and..." Skye started.
"Skyeeee......." Meowscles whined with big eyes.
"He tried to lift the heaviest dumbbell and ended up dropping it on the floor, that's the giant bang you guys heard when you were in the locker rooms"
"Aww poor Meow trying to show off for his lady~" TNTina teasingly commented.

Meow started looking down at the table from embarassment. He was blushing, you just couldn't see it through his fur. We all started laughing and he eventually smiled and looked at us.

We all finished eating and got up to go do whatever until we were tired. Meowscles and Skye started a movie which TNTina and Bomb joined them. Brutus, Peely, and Maya left and went somewhere else. Midas and I went out to the balcony and started to watch the sunset.

I started to lean against the railing when I felt a hand rubbing my back. I looked over at Midas to see him leaning against the railing as well but on his elbows. His fingers were intertwined therefore the hand I felt wasn't his. I jumped back and looked over towards the door and saw nobody.

"Darling is everything alright?" Midas asked.

I didn't respond I just kept looking around the balcony, but I didn't see anyone.

"Darling?"
"Yeah, sorry it was nothing"
"You don't react that way when it's nothing y/n. Now, what's wrong?"
"When I was leaning on the railing I felt a hand begin to rub my back. I looked over to see that it wasn't you.  Yet, there isn't anyone else here" I explained still looking around.

Midas began looking around when he froze and saw someone running away from the Agency in the distance. We heard a gunshot and the person fell lifeless. The shot came from the roof of the Agecny. We looked up to see Maya waving at us.

"Sorry, enemy bot grenades. I was just practicing my no scope shots" she explained showing us the sniper she held.
"Oh, okay good luck with that" I told her.
"Good thing Maya killed that bot" Midas mumbled to himself.
"Why's that?" I asked.
"You don't wanna know" he replied.
"Yeah, that's why I asked" I replied.
"I would've just killed him myself just in a not so quick way" he said turning to me.
"Oh, why don't we head inside. The sun has set and it's getting chilly out here" I told him.
"Then let's go inside. Your room or my room tonight?" He asked.
"Yours" I replied and he just nodded grabbing my hand.

Hand in hand we walked to his room and went to his closet. I grabbed some pajamas and he grabbed some boxers. We went to his bathroom and he got ready for bed as I took a shower. He normally takes his in the morning while I take mine in the evening.

As I got out Midas finished getting ready for bed. I then began getting ready for bed as Midas went to his room. As I finished up Midas came back in and swept me off of my feet.

He carried me to his bed and laid me down. He crawled ontop of me propping himself up with his hands on either side on my head.

What's gonna happen next?
BTW this is the chapter for the day because I have dance recital, so I'm going to be busy all day. I might publish another, we will just have to see. Just don't expect another one cause I don't wanna disappoint anyone. Love you all, but Midas loves you more!
