Chapter 100: Let's go Back

*time skip to two days later*

Midas' POV

I woke up in the medical room laying on a bed. I looked around and saw Remedy walking over to me. She looked both relieved and upset.

"Midas you almost killed yourself!" Remedy exclaimed.

I just shrugged in response which Remedy did not like at all.

"Midas you can't go destroying your life because y/n is gone. Just think, is this what y/n would want you to do?"

When Remedy said that, I realized something. This entire time I was only thinking about myself, I wasn't thinking about y/n. I only thought about how I'd be able to get to see her and be with her again. Of course y/n wouldn't want me to be hurting myself or ending my life because of her death. She would want me to move on in remembrance of her. Therefore that's exactly what I should do, live life remembering the best person to walk this planet.

"You're right, this isn't what y/n would want... I'm sorry Remedy"

"Midas, there isn't any need to be sorry just promise me you won't do anything you'll regret"

"I promise I won't"

"Good, now let me tell you what's going to happen until you're better"

"Alright"

"You're going to stay in your room and not leave until the day I release you. During those days you will have all of your meals brought to you. When you need to use the restroom you will use the one in your room. When you aren't using the restroom you will be laying in bed. Understood?"

"Understood" I sighed.

"Good, I will always be in here if you need anything. Just call me or have a henchman come get me"

"Alright"

"Now I will have a henchman escort you to your room"

"Okay, thank you Remedy"

"Just doing my job"

A henchman then walked in and helped me walk to my room. My leg was incredibly sore and I was extremely weak. Surprisingly I didn't have a headache and wasn't hungover at all.

"What is today?" I asked.

"It is Wednesday"

"Wednesday? I thought it was Monday"

"Monday is the day you had your incident sir"

"Oh, well thank you for helping me into my room" I said as he helped me slowly sit on my bed.

"No problem sir" he nodded before leaving my room.

I was still wearing a hospital gown and decided I needed to change. The only thing was that my closet was on the other side of my room. I sighed before trying to stand up, once I was up I felt a very sharp pain in my leg and plopped right back onto my bed. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to use the restroom when I needed it since I could barely stand for a few seconds. I decided I should try standing again, I got up and stood. This time I didn't feel the sharp pain in my leg. I decided to try and take a few steps. I took one, then another, and another. I was walking normally; so I walked into my closet and got dressed into sweatpants and a t-shirt before going and laying down in my bed.

I turned my TV on and started watching Hunter x Hunter like y/n has suggested. I'm pretty sure she said her favorite character was Hisoka. I began watching and I was a few episodes in before I saw Hisoka. I started getting distracted by my own thoughts though and stopped paying attention to the show. I had the device still and I could possibly have Jules reprogram it so it would work as a time machine. Then I could go back in time before our date and stop us form going. Then y/n would never get hurt and she would still be here. Everything would be back to normal and we could go out and look for the person who had intentions of killing her. I quickly leaned over and grabbed my phone off of my night stand. I dialed Jules and waited for her to answer as it rang.
