Golden Hands (Midas X Reader)

Chapter 4: Everything Good?

"Skye!" I screamed as I sprinted over to her, "What's wrong, what happened?"
"I- I- th-," she stuttered at she pointed with her hand shaking.
We all slowly looked to where she was pointing and saw the horror of it all. She found Midas, Shadow Midas with a sword through his chest and into the boulder behind therefore causing him to hang. It was a horrific scene but at least it wasn't Ghost Midas. All this meant was that they needed to hurry before this happened to Ghost Midas/ normal Midas.

"Let's split up, girls you 4 go and use 3 will go so then we are still in groups but also split up." Meowscles ordered as everyone slowly nodded their heads.

The girls went off to the right while the guys went to the left. I looked at the shadow Midas as we walked away and saw gold smudges on the rock next to him. I grabbed TNTina's arm and pulled her back as Maya and Skye kept walking while Maya comforted Skye. TNTina and I walked over to shadow Midas and inspected the smudges and followed them they wrapped around the rock and went down the cliff. We looked at each other and then at Skye and Maya and back at each other. Maya saw us and just nodded for us to go alone. I walked around the large rock and slid down the cliff following the smudges as TNTina followed me. The smudges stopped at the bottom of the cliff at turned into blood and gold on the grass up to a campsite. Their was a hammock hung on two trees one tree has a gold hand print.
"One of Skyes campsites..." TNTina mumbled.
"So then Midas could be here knowing it's here if he knows it's here, right?" I asked.
"Maybe..." TNTina replied as we both slowly approached the campsite with our guns ready.
We turned around the hand printed tree and saw someone in the hammock but couldn't tell who considering the hammock had wrapped over their face. I poked the hammock with my foot as the person didn't budge. I did the same thing again but this time they woke up and fell out of the hammock holding their head from landing on it. It was Midas! We ran over to Midas and helped him up putting his arms over our shoulders and shouted up to everyone else they all slid down to us. Once they all got down Meowscles called the henchmen to bring a chopper to come get them through his earpiece. Midas quit holding his head and was able to stand on his own.

"Hey everyone." He said as he looked at everyone and then stopped on me and completely changed his expression to confused "y/n from the bookstore? Wha-what are you doing here?"
"She interviewed to be an agent and got the job!" Meowscles said butting in.
"How? I wasn't there."
"Meowscles interviewed me and said I passed with flying colors." I butted back in.
"What!?!" Midas yelled looking at Meowscles.
Meowscles had a sad and guilty but innocent look on his face.
"Boss you were saying we needed another agent and you couldn't find any that were good enough and y/n passed everything perfectly she didn't get anything not perfect!" Meowscles replied in a defensive manner.
Midas looked shocked and turned around to me and just looked at me and we stood there making eye contact for about 1 minute straight before he passed out falling on top of me.
"MIDAS!" Everyone yelled trying to catch him. I was the only one who kinda caught him by him knocking me over onto the ground with him laying on me. Meowscles picked him up and varied him to the now arriving chopper as everyone walked to the chopper.
"What about his quadcrasher?" I asked.
They all looked at each other and me blankly.
"Ill get it and meet you guys." I sighed.
"Ok" Skye responded.
I walked back up the extremely steep hill and went and hopped on Midas' quadcrasher and drove it back to the Agency.

Once I arrived I asked for some henchmen to bring me to everyone else and he brought me upstairs to the medical room where I saw everyone around one bed. The bed had Midas on it. It hurt me to see him like this both because he's my boss, but in another way as if a loving way. I can't have these feelings towards my boss, well I can't express them that is at least I don't think. I walked around the bed to the only open spot where I was actually by the bed and not behind people. Midas started waking up and he moved his hands grabbing our hands and my hand was closest to his therefore he grabbed mine. The butterflies fluttered through my stomach and I started to blush TNTina nudged Maya and Skye and the three looked at me blushing and giggled while I have them a death glare to stop. Of course they didn't but then Midas let go and sat up. He had bruises all over him and had a busted lip. I felt bad for him, Meowscles told us all to go and he would help Midas clean up. Once everyone left Meowscles got a couple days and helped clean up the blood on Midas' body. Us 4 girls stayed outside the door until he came out. To our surprise he came out shirtless, making me blush to the extreme and I could see Midas noticed me blushing so he started to blush as well just not as much. The girls saw us blushing and so did Meowscles, it was almost like they had all read each other's minds because Meowscles pushed Midas a little bit and the girls shoved me into Midas causing me to fall into his arms. Therefore making us both blush even more.
"S-sorry Midas s-sir. I tripped and I-I fell." I stuttered as I stood up and glared at the girls. Midas did the same but at Meowscles. He went off to his room for the night and I went to mine, with the girls following.
"Come on Y/n you know you like him and he likes you!" Skye said.
"Yeah the way he blushed at you blushing." TNTina added holding her hand above her forehead for dramatic effects.
"Don't forget him catching her." Maya said as she acted like she was fainting into Skyes arms. They all started giggling while I just sat their smiling and blushing.

Midas' POV

I was very confused as to what happened today. I was in the bookstore and then fell out of a hammock and atop of y/n. I woke up holding y/n hand and everyone surrounding you on the medical bed. Everyone left except for Meowscles who helped me. Where did I get lucky to get such a good friend. I walked out and the girls were outside the door and y/n me...shirtless. Y/n started blushing and so did I, I hoped no one- Meowscles just pushed me towards y/n! Y/n just fell on me, I caught her, now both blushing even more. I helped her stand back up and went to my room embarrassed...
