The song is to play once Midas starts to cry. It just adds to it basically but isn't needed lolz.
Midas' POV
I just watched as Oro said the things he said in whatever language it was he was speaking. He lifted his hand away from y/n and sighed.
"It's too late, we were too late. I'm sorry Midas, I tried my best" He said.
"No, no, no, it can't be too late!" I screamed as I ran over to y/n's side with tears streaming down my face.
"Midas, as you can see she's fully rose gold. There isn't any part of her that's still human, therefore I can't bring her back to life" he explained.
"No there has to be something we can do to bring her back!" I screamed as I leaned over y/n's body.
Tears started falling and running down the sides of her cold body. I felt someone's hand on my back rubbing circles in an attempt to comfort me. I looked back to see that it was Tina. I stood up quickly and took a deep breath before beginning.
"EVERYONE OUT!" I shouted, startling everyone.
"B-but Midas..." Skye started.
"I SAID OUT, NOW!"
Everyone stayed silent and quickly walked out of the medical room, even Remedy and Oro. I looked at y/n's perfect yet solid face. She looked so peaceful, she technically was in a better place now. A better place without any pain, a better place where there were no problems, a better place.....without me. I guess her life is better without me. If it weren't for me, she would still be alive, she'd be living a peaceful life in her cute little house in retail row. Selling her books as she blushes every time I came and bought books. Her cute little smile she always tried to hide so I wouldn't notice. She always thought I didn't notice her, I always did. If I came in when she wasn't working, I left and came back the next day in hopes of her working. I just hope I treated her well and made her life good. I always tried to make sure she was happy. What if I failed and never made her happy? I almost ruined everything just by letting Xavier work here. Maybe I should've left her to go with Xavier, then none of this would've happened.
I need to figure out who did this, and how to bring y/n back. I tapped my earpiece and called Maya into the medical room. She came in only a few minutes later.
"Yes boss?"
"Maya, I need you to analyze the bullet I was shot with and figure out what gun it was that was used. We have to figure out who did this and make sure they don't survive another day" I explained.
"Okay I'll start immediately then, where is the bullet though?" she asked.
"I'm pretty sure they're on the tray over by Remedy's computer"
"Okay"
Maya walked over and grabbed the tray before nodding and leaving the medical room. I looked back at y/n and sighed.
"I promise, I promise I'll figure out a way to bring you back" I quietly stated before picking her up.
I brought her to my room and stood her up over by the wall, I placed her so I could see her from my desk and from my bed. I walked over to my bed and sat down to take my shoes off. I kept looking at y/n as I took my shoes off. I could feel the rage and anger start to build up. I knew this was my fault, whoever it was that did this was most likely after me. I took my shoes off and threw them across the room. I stood up and ran over to my desk, slammed my fists down causing some thing to fall off. The picture frame with Jules in it fell along with the picture frame with y/n in it. I caught the picture with Jules, but the one of y/n fell an hit the floor. It was face down but I heard it shatter. I quickly picked it up to see the glass had shattered. I set the pictures down on my desk before running into my closet and slamming the door behind me. I grabbed y/n's favorite blanket and ran back to my bed. I hopped onto my bed and covered myself up with her blanket. It even smelled just like her, I remember when I gave her this blanket she was so happy. From that day on she used it every time she got cold.
I heard the door open but just ignored it and continued to cry under the warmth of y/n's favorite blanket. I could hear the person's footsteps getting closer until I felt someone sit down next to me on the bed. I rolled over to see that it was Meow. He just looked at me with sympathy and hurt in his eyes. I just looked at him as I continued to cry, he opened his arms for a hug and I gladly excepted the hug.
"Hey Midas, I understand it's really hard right now but we will get through this. No matter what you tell yourself, this is not your fault. You can try and blame it on yourself all you want but it's not true. What happened today is all because of whoever was behind the gun"
"But I'm still the reason we were at Stick's, if it weren't for me we wouldn't have been there to give that person the chance to shoot her. Plus, why did I have to survive and her have to pass. I'd gladly give my life to her to let her live longer. She was still so young when she passed away, her death was terrible too. It should've been me, it shouldn't have been-"
"Stop! You can't keep doing this Midas, what happened, happened for a reason. Everything happens for a reason, even if it is something bad. But the worst thing you can do is blame it on yourself or say that it should have been you..."
I was crying harder than I thought because that was the last thing I heard Meow say before drifting off to sleep.

Y'all, where in the world is this motivation coming from. Also, another surprise chapter for you all. Remember I love you all! I'm kind of sad this book is coming to an end. Chapter 100 will be the last chapter of this book btw. Maybe I'll have a second book, we'll just have to see ;)
