Chapter 18: It Gets Worse Before it Gets Better

The next morning I woke up before Midas. I got up and went to start getting ready. I was putting on my shoes when I felt his arms hugging me from behind. I quickly turned around afraid that it wasn't Midas, but it was.

"Good morning love" Midas said.
"Good morning" I replied giving him a kiss.

Midas started getting ready while I went and told the Agents that we weren't gonna be at the Agency all day. I told Meowscles he was gonna be in charge while Midas was gone. I also mentioned that we were going to a funeral, but to act like it was a normal day. Midas came out dressed in an all black suit with something in his hand. He walked over to me and started putting a necklace on me. It was completely gold with a rose charm on the plain chain.

"Thank you" I told him as I hugged him.
"You're welcome" he said smiling. "We need to go so we aren't late" Midas added.

We went and headed to the helicopter as a henchmen flew us to the funeral. When we got there I saw about 5 others. We walked over to the casket and Midas looked sad but tried not to let it show too much. I rubbed his back to help him from crying like he did the other night.

"He was a good friend, I miss him" Midas spoke as his voice cracked.
"I bet he was" I replied.

We were at the funeral all day. The funeral finally ended at around 3pm since they did everything today like the burial and all. We headed home and finally arrived at 4pm. Midas immediately went to his office and started working. I went to the lounge room to find the girls.

"Hey y/n, is Midas okay?" Skye asked.
"Yeah, I think so. He's in his office working like always" I replied.
"TNTina wanted to go for a walk on the beach at Sweaty after dinner to just think. You wanna come along?" Maya asked.
"Sure" I replied.

Dinner time came around and everyone ate quietly once again. Midas kept looking at me and I honestly had no idea why.

After we were all finished eating I met up with the girls in my room and got changed into comfier clothes so I wasn't in a dress. We started walking to the front of the Agency until I felt someone grab my arm. I quickly turned around to see Midas holding my arm.

"Yes?" I asked.
"Where are you going?" Midas questioned.
"Sweaty Sands for a walk on the beach with the girls" I replied.
"Be safe, I don't want to lose another person I am close with" Midas stated.
"I'll be fine, I promise" I promised him.
"Okay" he said worriedly.

I walked over to the girls and we hopped into a boat and drove to Sweaty Sands. We got out and threw our shoes into the boat. We walked in the water at the edge for about half an hour until we heard crying. We looked around and heard it coming from the skate park. We headed over to the skate park to see a girl sitting on the ground with a bruise on her stomach and a bloody nose.

"Hey, you okay? What happened?" TNTina rushed to the girl asking her.
"I- my girlfriend, ex girlfriend just broke up with me and she was really abusive..." the girl responded.
"I understand my abusive boyfriend just got dumped" TNTina replied.

The girl and TNTina looked at each other admiring each other until they broke eye contact and started blushing.

"I don't have anywhere to stay any more, either" the girl added.
"You can stay with me" TNTina quickly said causing the girl to smile.
"I think they like each other" I whispered to Skye and Maya as they both nodded.
"My name is TNTina"
"Mine is Beach Bomber but you can call me Bomb" Bomb said.
"I'm y/n"
"I am Skye and this is Maya" Skye added and pointed to Maya.
"Nice to meet you all" Bomb told us smiling.
"We need to head back guys" I told everyone as I noticed it was getting late.

We all headed back to the boat and drove back to the Agency. When we got there I saw Midas standing at the front looking at Bomb. He had an untrusting look. I walked over to him as the others went in.

"Her name is Beach Bomber, she goes by Bomb. She just got out of an abusive relationship with her girlfriend. She needed a place to stay so TNTina is letting her stay in her room. She's really nice and I trust her. I also think TNTina likes her" I told Midas as he nodded.

Midas went off to his room as I went to find the girls. I didn't see them anywhere so I figured they went to their rooms for the night. I went to Midas' room and went to his bathroom to take a shower. After my shower I got dressed and walked to his room to see the bedroom door open. Midas wasn't in his room any more so I went to his office to hear his voice and TNTina's voice.

"You can't keep bringing random people here TNTina" Midas spoke in a soft tone.
"I know but she needed a place to stay and had just gotten out of an abusive relationship and I know how that is so I felt bad and wanted to help" TNTina replied.
"I understand, but you need to talk to me first because I am the one who's in charge of the Agency. Therefore if you bring a dangerous person here, then whatever they do is my fault" Midas still spoke softly.
"Midas...please let her stay....I-......I- really like her. She's also really good with technology and could help us upgrade our technology like our earpieces and things" TNTina begged.
"Oh, well then yes she can stay. I didn't know you had feelings for her, I'm sorry" Midas apologised.
"Thank you!" TNTina said leaving the room.

I walked into his office and saw him standing, looking out the window.

"Midas?" I said.
"Yes darling?" He replied turning to face me.
"Ready for bed?" I asked.
"Yes" he replied grabbing my hand.

We walked to his room and went to bed for the night. I was able to sleep easy knowing my best friend was happy and finally found someone good.
